Don't go, you'll be waiting 40 minutes in a queue to be served, only for a further 40 minute wait on food. They have one poor person taking orders, making drinks, doing the cold pre-made food. One person pointlessly filling a fridge the person serving is tsking food out of (it was pointless because they were doing things like adding 2 items to a plate that still had 5 serverings on) and occasionally taking food out. 2 people clearing tables and a couple making food in the back that also seemed to be serving food (none of which had an urgency about them). Food wasn't really anything special and they didn't serve enough jam/cream with the scones (or the scones were too big which ever is your take on that). The building is attractive and nicely decorated though. Don't make our mistake, go to one of the many other places to get food. Advice, owners need to stop relying on good graces of their customers, need to improve efficiency; one person serving and doing hot drinks one person putting the cold pre-made foods on peoples trays (effectively 2nd server) anyone clearing tables should be taking it out too anyone making food in the back shouldn't be leaving that room unless...

Read moreThe tea room was pretty much full when we entered. We had just managed to get a table for four of us, just as someone was leaving (this was at around 1pm).
There were lots of lovely choices for food and drink, ranging from panini's to soups. I had the mozzarella, tomatoes and basil pesto panini served with a side salad and coleslaw. It was delicious. I also had the Yorkshire Cream Tea. I was given a pot if tea and some hot water for top up, a pot of milk, and a scone with a pot of cream and jam. Lovely! Can't recommend it enough.
Delightful staff, delightful atmosphere and delightful food. Will definitely go here again if I get the chance.
