Bruce’s Fish Bar — Local services in Great Britain

I visited here and went to buy fish and chips, I asked for an OAP portion as that was the right amount to eat for me, I was told I couldn't have that (a colleague told me it was against the law to refuse to serve someone) they asked my age. I have been able to obtain this at lunchtimes elsewhere. I was in shock and hungry so had the medium one, too much for me. The fish was a flat geometric triangle, not fish shape and the price for it was way above what I have seen for full portions elsewhere. Cash only in Covid.does not take cards. I will never go...

This is the second time we've used this place and it was just as good as the first time. It's near my parents so very convenient for a take away lunch. The fish is perfectly cooked with crisp batter and the chips are lovely. Very friendly and family owned and somewhere I'd recommend...

Fresh, tasty fish, crispy batter, lovely chunky and crispy chips,not soggy at all as in another very popular fish bar, staff very friendly, large portions. Highly recommended, new spot on the list. A nice coleslaw in extras would be cool, apart from that - no cons at all...
