On the Cask Marque Ale Trail - so it'll get at least this one visit. An estate chain pub, opening early for breakfasts and for others who need to drink early. I was in early and would have had a drink, but it was clear the overnight beer, perculating in the pipes overnight had not been drawn through. So enchewing the beer, I opted for a coffee. This I can only say 'stewed' far beyond drinkability. Perhaps I should have had a beer.

Lovely meal here was a half hour wait but to be expected being a busy Friday evening. Drinks promptly served to table as ordered on app. Only 4 not 5* as they didn't bring out the dessert until I chased after 20 minutes. A lovely location and lovely food..we will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely meal The Lamb Inn!

Food was nice. Just generic budget pub food but no complaints re the cooking of it. Perfectly fine. Wouldn't book on app as it said was fully booked but peak evening on a Saturday it was almost empty. No reserved signs anywhere so I'd just turn up. Maybe look at app as could be the cause of pub being so quiet...it was dead apart from 3 other tables around us and one making up noise wise for lack of customers! No atmosphere. Almost felt awkward. Not a place to linger and enjoy a relaxing meal and drink. More eat quickly and leave. A weird atmosphere. Waiting staff perfectly fine. Lady behind bar didn't seem to happy and certainly wouldn't engage apart from the necessaries. Got the feeling they really didn't want to be there. An older lady who I'm guessing was the manager? Tables at front of pub quite tightly packed so awkward to get around when people sat...deffo not great for wheelchair users in that area. Didn't bother yo look at rest of pub. A weird one. With a bit of rearranging, friendly welcoming barstaff and some customers providing an atmosphere, could be nice. When a pub is in the middle of a lot of houses and it's dead, it says a lot. Not somewhere I'd make a special trip to. I'd probably give it a year and go back to see what it was like again to give it a try but won't be returning any time...

Clearly rushed as it was the lead up to Christmas, but when we arrived the Lamb wasn't busy. We had pre-ordered weeks before and they got our order wrong (we had 3 course menu and by dessert two people didn't get any puddings at all)! Had to wait for ages in between courses and when food did arrive, it was underwhelming - even for the 'cheap' dinner price (you still expect things to be edible). We had to mention missing puddings repeatedly, and then when it was addressed the person dealing with it suggested we'd missed off the puddings on our order form...my friend asked for their copy of the form with the missing items as her emailed copy showed all 6. The lady came back after 10mins or so and only then confirmed it was their error. No suggestion of a discount etc. and a really disappointing experience overall. We did say this at the time, and there was no attempts to rectify. Hope this was just a Christmas anomoly and they'll improve now it's...

Well yet again my flabber has never been so gasted.lt was a last minute decision to book a table as the restaurant of choice could not accommodate. The Lamb seems very friendly, not a pub l have visited in 40 years( no slight on the establishment but l have my favourites).l was so pleasantly surprised as l said friendly.......11 people l spoke to who l know, speaks to me volumes, that! The staff were helpful and efficient, the meal was plentiful and very good quality. To cap it all, being a distant cousin of Scrooge, the prices were delightfully inexpensive.l think another visit will be the order of the day.Must mention on to the StapleHill Portcullis, another well run establishment to watch the overly good MIKE BESS sing and play such good guitar. Please book him again, good set, plenty of appreciable followers and a good night for all.In conclusion,The Lamb,The Portcullis and the talented Mike Bess........what a...
