DO NOT GO TO DOBBIES EVENTS HERE! The Ā£20 Santa Paws experience was an absolute rip off. Amateurish is the only world to describe the set up and execution. I feel like doing a chargeback as I did not get what was set out. The promise was that Santa and the elves would play with your dog. This did not happen. Santa, was dressed in a cheap outfit, there was no room for a dog larger than a chi to sit on him so my small spaniel was hanging on for dear life and was uncomfortable and stressed. Large dogs could sit between his legs though. He was a very nice man though the helpers wete polite but they were not trained for this role nor given the right equipment. The Ā£10 photo ā€˜ professional package’ promised consisted of one digital snap for which you have to send off, no professional photographer, just the regular staff who didn’t even know how to work the camera, let alone take a good photo. The promised ā€˜range of toys’ consisted a very cheap toy was not suitable for a dog my size and they had no alternatives.

Large tarmac free carpark locked when centre closes. Surrounding entrance Calor Gas- heavy compost bags and closer to entrance plants on promotion. You can pick up you Amazon Parcel from lockers at side of entrance. Christmas decorations out on display. Walk round clothing and general ornaments and gift type items. Once you get to partly covered area you have a vast selection of seasonal and annual plants on offer. Flowering and leafy variants. All looking healthy and well tended by their knowledgeable staff who are very approachable. At the rear they have pots of all sizes and colours overall a very pleasant experience. Displays are constantly being updated so you will find the need to return.

Dobbies is a large garden centre just by Brighton race course, on the outskirts of Brighton. It has everything you'd expect from a garden centre, plants, seeds, equipment, garden furniture plus a pleasant cafe. There is also a selection of clothes and gifts and a Waitrose essentials concession and a Cook (frozen food) concession as well. There is also a large Pet's Corner store within Dobbies, offering just about anything you could need for your cat, dog or other furry (or feathered) friend. Also a grooming parlour.

What a change, Dobbies has done this garden centre up. It looks and feels so much better. We used to come here before they improved it but stopped coming as it looked and felt rundown. And the staff seemed the same. We thought as we had read that had been renovated so thought we would give it a go. We tried out the small cafe just before you get to the main restaurant. The service was so good. The lady that served us was really happy and friendly even when she was making us iced latte and the ice wasn't playing ball by staying in one lump. However she did win the fight. The pasty was nice and the viennese swirl was good as well. Didn't have to queue so a good option if you want a light bite rather than going to restaurant. We sat out side undercover and it felt really relaxing and fun people watching seeing the plants they were buying going by. The plant section looked well looked after and not a bad price, and the staff again were really friendly and helpful with advice. Nice to see staff that look like they enjoyed their jobs.

We will be coming back and next time we will try out the restaurant, hopefully we will find the same quality of food and staff there as...

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! This garden centre is an absolute paradise on Earth. From the moment I walked through the door, I was blown away by the stunning displays of flowers and plants. The vibrant colours and sweet fragrances filled my soul with such joy and bliss, I felt like I had been transported to a magical land.

The customer service was unparallelled - every single staff member was so knowledgeable and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make sure I found everything I was looking for. And let me tell you, I found so much more than I bargained for! They have every tool, accessory, and decoration you could ever dream of for your garden, and then some.

And don't get me started on the quality of the plants! They are so healthy and robust, you can tell they were grown with love and care. I can't wait to see how my garden will flourish with these new additions.

I could go on and on, but I won't bore you - just trust me when I say that this garden centre is the epitome of perfection. I will sing its praises to anyone who will listen, and I will be a loyal customer for life. Thank you for providing such a wonderful...

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the most positive attribute to the store. The parking is easy, and views and walks from the carpark are lovely. There is a good plant selection, and staff are helpful with tips and advice. So why 3 stars? The small Waitrose is bizarrely stocked- with random selection of items, and lacks essentials. They have mainly focussed on ready meals, I'm guessing for the more elderly customer. There is rarely fruit & vegetables and when there is there are hard to locate. Multiple eilse have seats, cakes, chocolate which has been prioritised over more staple food options. It feels like if you ate only from what Dobbies has to offer you may suffer from high cholesterol or heart conditions. When it was Sainsbury's as the partner it was better equipped as an in-house food store. Then there is the area of house stuff - so much plastic, short-life stuff- bits and bobs. As a garden centre it really lacks having any sustainability conscious approach to what they sell. They often have packing boxes which is a good option to have. The Pet shop is well stocked, and the people inside are again very...
