A sign outside said top 20 Sunday lunches in Brighton. Well, I doubt that. Ordered my food and within 5 minutes it was presented to me, which made me a bit dubious. The food looked amazing, but was let down as it was cold. The roasted potatoes, which are always nuclear when they come out of the oven were barely warm along with the meat, the Yorkshire pudding was cold, as were other items. I have Asperger's, so I tend not to and don't want to talk to anyone if I can help it, so I tried to eat it as quickly as I could, so eat bits that were warm. Read moreI don't like leaving negative reviews ,but I can't not share the experience we just had . I booked after seing pictures online of how lovely the food looked and how cosy the pub looked ,but rather quickly that possitivity didnt last .We booked for brunch with santa at 1230 ,after sitting at our table for over an hour ,with no staff welcoming us or any interaction, we asked the bar when our pre ordered food was coming ,to be told we would need to re order our food because too many people had changed their orders . So a staff member came over to take our order and she walked off as my partner was talking ,the food came out all wrong so had to wait until the children had finished their meals for missing items to be bought out and when they was they were vile and tasted frozen . Santa was sat at the bar sinking pints and my children commented on the smell when they came back from sitting with him. We had no apology the whole time we was there .no explanations and no good bye or thank you for coming .the customer service is the worst iv ever experienced...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place a hidden Jem. Fantastic Sunday lunch lovely atmosphere. I'm pleased to find this place before it becomes too popular which it certainly is becoming. Its definitely worth a visit and the staff are all lovely too. Chef is a great talent and does the best gravy in Brighton. Her Fajita makes your mouth water and has amazing and authentic flavours too but that's a treat for the lunch times. What a great find I will choose the Sunday lunch every time I have the chance to go their on Sunday over anywhere else. Lovely outside space too and the owner Linda is so friendly and welcoming and makes the place sing as she is naturally hospitable as she orchestrates the whole exquisite experience for everyone in there. I give it 10 stars.Every time I visit it just...
