Dundee Ice arena is a place where you can come for leisure scating or to relax and watch family and friends scate. It located at camperdown not too far from the kingsway shopping arena. Once a fortnight I take the young guy I support here in his wheelchair. I push him around the rink while ice skating and he loves it! I think he enjoys watching people fall over! Toilets here are accessible with a little help to open the doors.
It's possible to ask the staff to put down steel ramps to get on the ice in a wheel chair, although I find 'bumping' the chair down onto the ice, as I would normally with a kerb, easier.

Read morePublic skating sessions are dangerous! Too many kids there zooming about at completely unsafe speeds. I've been several times and it's always the same people. I left early last time because they kept going past far too fast and too close (less than half a metre away). There's people there of all skill levels, if the fast people get too close to a person who's new to skating they could fall over or suddenly turn and then there's going to be serious injuries.
