We visited the Escape Room as a family of 6 and did the âMurder on the Yorkshire Expressâ room. The story & clues were very good and we all liked the idea of the mission, however none of us would return. The building itself is like someone has converted their small house in to an escape room, its very small and cramped compared to all other Escape Rooms we have done (we are BIG fans so done most in Hull). There are no lockers, the toilet was very grubby and the flush did not work. The main foyer is tiny so the induction was cramped as it was done with another group present. We were in a room upstairs and felt like the building was under construction. All the walls showed the pieces of wood and frame, wires, tape etc. It looked unfinished like they were in the middle of building it. The area was very messy, odd bits all over the place (scrabble tiles, little nick nacks), mess all over the floors, wires running all over etc. The room itself was OK inside with some good attention to detail but it was UNBARABLEY HOT. All 6 of us struggled with the heat and were almost at the point of giving up due to dripping with sweat! The room was very small, by far the smallest we have ever done in any escape room. At ÂŁ14 per person I would advise visiting any of the Escape Rooms in Hull as they are leaps and bounds ahead of this one in terms of dĂ©cor, space + attention to detail. The staff were lovely and we could not fault them, very friendly and happy to help, but overall the whole thing felt cheap and half-finished and quickly knocked up and we all left feeling very...

When Escape Rooms Beverley opened, I had to come home to find out what it's like, starting with their more difficult challenge.
The storyline was a common, SAW-esque one (this was my 61st escape room and probably like the 8th time I'd been locked in by a killer scientist). One of the team is 'kidnapped', but the task involved to reunite the taken member is so easy, it renders the whole act pointless, really.
It was a bare, dank dwelling...killer scientist's hideaway, sure, but nothing to get overly excited or spooked out about. One 'gory' practical puzzle chimed in with the theme, but, other than that, they were rudimentary and screamed (or rather spoke) simple, generic death. We needed one or two subtle hints, but there were also times a shove in the right direction was required, rather than a gentle push!
Our Game Operator was friendly. As a company that's just starting out, Escape Room Beverley's more difficult room proved to be a fun...

What a great idea to come up with to try and escape from a room(s). If you want something different to experience then "ESCAPE" is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. Hosts are friendly and helpful,, no doubt we will return for another room to...
