APPAULING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Oliver Matthews/ Knights. Ordered from ideal home show in March, although the items are quality, I paid in advance and I think because of this the after care customer services was absolutely awful. I would never buy from them again, I was told 6-8 weeks delivery and at 12 weeks after I chased them, not the other way round I was told it may take another 3-4 weeks, I still did not get the items and didn't even get a call to explain a further delay-so to confirm, I had absolutely no contact from them for over 16 weeks and I had to chase them to get the very flakey estimates on delivery. I was then told one of the items was in stock- which I was later told was damaged, I eventually was told that they would give me a display model temporarily and my other item (headboard) will come shortly... I had the temporary coffee table for another 4 weeks, Only last week (after ordering in March and being given the 6-8 week lead time) did my new coffee table that I paid £1600!!! for, come. I did not get a genuine apology or the offer of any money in compensation. Such a high profile prestigious company should have a superior customer services/ after care structure- they don't seem to even have a basic one. Read moreFrom our first visit to the store through to delivery, we found the service to be polite, courteous and professional. Jackie Taylor was outstanding in both her expertise and experience. She welcomed us at outset and spent a lot of time ensuring that we would receive a product that would delight us. She kept us informed throughout the process and made special arrangements to have our furniture delivered a day early to ensure that adverse weather conditions would not affect the delivery.
