They have extended their restaurant. The other part is a pizzeria. When they just opened for the day, I saw staff members bringing downstairs, frozen pizza bases. So the pizza bases are not made from fresh dough.
I used to order the chocolate cake and it used to be accompanied with lovely Italian vanilla ice cream.i know the difference in taste compared to our local vanilla ice cream. But on one or two occasions there-after, the vanilla icecream given was a local clotted cream ice cream from our local supermarkets.
Then after that when I went I made it clear with the female owner if she was sure the ice cream that was going to accompany the cake was going to be the Italian one and she reassured me a 100 times that yes it was going to be. But she lied and it wasn’t. It was the local one which I saw the tub of it too, a waitress was bringing it from one part of the building to the next. And when I pointed it out to her and said I told her only if it was going to be the Italian one, imported from Italy, the one I used to have before at their restaurant, then only will I order the cake too and why did she say yes. And her eyes popped out, her face went small and she blanked t with a quick sorry.
We are vegetarians. We ordered the Prawn pasta without the prawns and they did not reduce the price. Was promised to get some money back when I visited next, but when I did visit next, that promise was put under the table.
Another time I went for the same pasta, it was a pasta made from a previous order and there was left over and she asked me if I would love those additional ingredients in my pasta too and she made me feel special that they were going to make it esp for me but I was not a fool. It was left overs given to me on a clean plate, half the quantity, authentically served. And she profited form it.
On another evening visit, my little son and I were the only customers there. Young female waitresses. They arrive into the restaurant, and start handling the food as soon as they take off their jackets. Keep fixing their hair and rubbing their faces and mouths. Not washing their hands and bringing food to the table. As soon as they get in, they start handling the food. No washing hands. One slim young blond waitress brought my food to the table and walked away with a stinking fart leaving behind. That caught my throat. How could I possibly eat that pasta there after. That sauce comes from the bottle. It is not freshly prepared. Those bottles of sauces are displayed by the window filled with cob webs.
I complained about the fart After I left But no concessions made Everytime an apology and a promise.
I can write a whole book about this place.
I have a medical condition. An auto immune disease and so somedays I am hungry but don’t have the strength to cook and I like to go to the restaurant to unwind and I messaged the lady to say I hope I don’t get to experience all of that and pasta is made fresh for me from clean pots as I am a strict vegetarian And ice cream if not from Italy pls tell me. And she said she’s now tired of being a constant punching bag. And that I am banned from the restaurant in future. I received her message when I just reached Beaconsfield from Uxbridge. I especially drove to have a meal there. But I had to return home after receiving her text that I am banned.
I then went to McDonald’s and got treated well and...
Read moreThis is meant to be an Italian restaurant. Italian may I add. I am shocked. A very salty disgusting starter. Awful. It was meant to be roasted vegetables. Main meal was very ordinary pasta with tasteless mince, no garlic, no sauce . One hour it took to serve. According to the young man, this was a special menu and he explained how all the ingredients were bought from Italy. Excuse me, apparently they are specialists in certain dishes. I have been to Italy so many times and perhaps after covid standards have slipped here. The staff could dress more neatly and not scruffy jeans. This is not the Italian way.The Italians are king and queens of fashion. What a disappointment and insult to true authentic food. Please improve. Please do not go here. If you do, buona fortuna. It is better to fly to Italy and eat authentic food there. It's a great insult. The staff have no confidence at all. You need to train them please to speak with confidence. Awful. If you want to try out real genuine authentic Italian food, try Babbo's in Mayfair, London. I have no idea who your chef is at Prelibato, but he or she needs to improve. Thank you for giving us upset stomach's. What a disgrace to my Italian friends. Imagine if you brought your Italian grandparents from Sicily here, do you think they would be impressed? Please stop it. Your menu lacks basic home made dishes, no chicken, potatoes or fish? Sure the pasta is organic but so what?Perhaps my standards are high but Italian food is high quality. Never again. What a waste of...
Read moreMy friend and I came here about a month ago as we both live in the area and wanted to try somewhere new. We both ordered the Charcuterie board for two which was almost 30 quid, I originally thought it was a steal. However, the board itself was rather small and the portions were so small. There was a disproportionate amount of meat compared to cheese, served with a literal thimble of chutney. It was good but definitely not enough for two people, you could tell just by looking at the portions they were being stingy, and for the price it just felt like a scam. In addition, it came with nothing, no bread, no crackers (what was I supposed to spread that dollop of chutney on!). I confirmed with the server that it didn't come with bread and so had to spend an additional £4 on a 'bread plate', which was essentially a toasted flat bread the size of my palm cut into 4 thin slices. (had to order another one just so I would actually be able to share with my friend) The service wasn't bad but more like, non-existent. No-one came to check up on our table despite it being a very small restaurant. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind this but to be charged 12% service is a bit outrageous. The only time the server came to our table of his own accord, it was to give us the bill (after we'd been there for only an hour) that we didn't ask for as we were still chatting with our wine and debating ordering another glass as the alcohol seemed to be the only reasonably priced option on the menu. Safe to say we didn't...
