I cannot say enough positives about Links Golf St Andrews. Our Scotland golf trip had been on my bucket list for decades and expectations can easily grow out of proportion. However, in this case, our golf trip was OUTSTANDING.
The communications with the Links Golf St Andrews staff were timely and efficient, beginning with the early planning stage over a year in advance. They answered a myriad of questions, provided sound advice regarding trip options, and handled the administrative matters (including payments, etc.) smoothly. These excellent communications continued right into the actual trip, and their office in St Andrews helped successfully sort out a couple of requests during our stay.
All transportation services (airport pickup / return and daily to and from golf courses) were handled smoothly, with courteous and friendly drivers on time (actually early in most cases) eliminating any anxiety. The vehicles were spacious and comfortable, and the personalized service was wonderful.
All golf arrangements were exactly according to the plan. Time at practice facilities was provided before we were brought to the first tee, with our driver handling all our check-in requirements for us at each golf course. They also ensured that our caddies were available as requested and introduced us, as well as introducing us to any other golfers we would be playing with that round since we were only two golfers in our travel group. Their knowledge of and experience with the St. Andrews Links Trust organization as well as with the other golf courses played meant that every round of golf commenced in a way that reduced the usual first tee jitters.
The hotel accommodations were wonderful, and exactly according to the booked arrangements. Beyond the golf, the office staff were competent and efficient, even securing a dinner reservation on short notice during graduation week for St. Andrews University. Every member of the Links Golf St. Andrews staff that we interfaced with was friendly, competent and a model example of the best in customer service.
I’m sure it is possible to book a golf trip with other companies that sound good and appear to be less expensive. However, I cannot imagine an organization providing better value for the money.
My expectations were exceeded in every area. I cannot think of anything that would have...

For almost one year I worked with Debi at Links Golf St Andrews planning a golfing trip for my husbands’ 60th birthday, as well as many non golf touring days. Debi was extremely knowledgeable and was so extremely helpful with the innumerable emails which I sent over the course of many months. Without her assistance this vacation would not be as memorable.
Every aspect of our trip was seen to. From perfect tee times to room reservations at exceptional hotels, transportation, the advance purchase and delivery of birthday gifts I had chosen for him, and dining reservations and / or dining suggestions for every location we visited. A representative from Links Golf, Scott met us at our first destination and throughly went through our itinerary answering any questions we may have had. Scott was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and checked in with us throughout our time in Scotland. It is worth noting that Scott had driven from St. Andrews to Turnberry for this welcoming meeting. At my husbands first tee time on Royal Troon, we met Kyle, another Links representative, who was an absolute delight. Upon arriving in St. Andrews we met the remainder of the Links company members all of whom are some of the kindest people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. To top off such a perfect holiday would be unthinkable. However; Links Golf managed to accomplish this, for on his 60th birthday, several Links Golf members were there, in the rain, as he teed off on the Old Course. Upon entering the hotel room after a great round, he found a birthday card and gift from the company.
There is not one aspect of this trip which could have been improved upon. There may be other companies who can assist with tee times in the U.K.; but none could be found to match the professionalism and personal attention as Links Golf! ...
Read moreMy first experience with Links Golf St. Andrews was in July 2018 when The Open was at Carnoustie. My good friend and I, along with our spouses, spent a week at The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews. While we played both the Old and New Course, our spouses luxuriated at The Kohler Spa located within The Old Course Hotel. Leanne Messenger was the Links Golf St. Andrews representative we used. Her attention to detail is impeccable. In addition to playing golf, Leanne provided both couples with Friday/Saturday tickets to The Open. Great grandstand seats on #18.
Fast forward to 2023 and, to celebrate my "70th" birthday, our spouses green lighted a "boys only" golf getaway. We contacted Leanne Messenger (in December '21) and booked another week of golf in Scotland. Leanne set up an amazing itinerary...3 nights at the Ness Walk Hotel in Inverness. A great hotel which treated you like family. We played Castle Stuart one day and, the next day, Royal Dornoch. Two great tracks. Our driver, Jamie was superb. If you book a trip, make sure to ask for Jamie. Oh, and if you happen to need a 4th player, he's a "plus 1" golfer as well.
Wednesday was a travel day to St. Andrews and The Old Course Hotel...a fantastic property that is an elevator ride away from The Jigger Inn. We played Kingsbarns one day in some serious "har" (fog) and finished off our trip at Carnoustie. The professionalism of Leanne and her team is second to none. Thank you Leanne, thank you Jamie, and thank you Links Golf St.Andrews for making memories that will last a lifetime. Until we...
