Owner response to my previous review is false. No phone call was ever made to say the food was reheated by myself.

SEE MY TRUE COMMENTS OF THE OWNERS RESPONSE.

OWNER: Unfortunately Mario's are not responsible for customers reheating and burning their food 24 hours or more after purchase as you admitted to us in your telephone conversation!

RESPONSE: THE FOOD WAS ORDERD IN THE LATE EVENING. COMPLAINT WAS MADE THE NEXT DAY AS THEY WAS CLOSED WHEN WE CALLED THAT EVENING. WHEN CALLED I WAS TOLD ONLY THE OWNER COULD DEAL WITH THE COMPLAINT. 3 DAYS LATER THE OWNER CALLED BACKED. HE ADVISED TO BRING THE FOOD IN, THAT I DID WHEN THE STAFF PREVIOUSLY ASKED FOR PHOTOS.

OWNER: We"re very glad you enjoyed your "beautiful" (direct quote) fish though!

RESPONSE: THIS WAS NOT A DIRECT QUOTE. The fish used has bones so unless you like to eat your fish guessing if your going to swollow them stay clear of this place.

OWNER: We will ALWAYS endevour to replace any meal you are unhappy with on the spot but won't be held responsible for home reheating as would any other business!

RESPONSE: NOTHING WAS REHEATED AT MY END AND YOU HAVE LIED AGAIN. YOU MADE A BADLY PREPARED PIZZA WITH A BURNT BASE AND GAVE IT TO A CUSTOMER. YOU HAD TO TAKE THE PIZZA OUT THE OVAN YOURSELF AS THE STAFF WENT TO GET THE PHONE.

RESPONSE: The owner is not taking responsibility of giving badly prepared burnt food to his customers. He’s happy to take your money.

Food was of a poor standerd. Your better of at Catch or Hook these are far more quality fish and chip establishments.

This fish shop in Giffnock is Outdated, owner is rude with no customer service skills, and the food was badly prepared.

Ordered a 12 inch sausage pizza, 2 single fish with a a portion of large chips.

The pizza with very little cheese and a burnt black pizza base.

I recommend you stay clear of this chip shop the worst pizza cooked by the staff, and the owner.

I thought id posted a review! See my yelp for pics,basically, marios is the only place i would considered getting fish and chips from. They use ultra freshly clean oil,fry fish to order,big juicy fillets of succulent pearly haddock,with light crisp batter at the right temperature,theres no greasy resident,aftertaste..its queued to the door and out at busy times,with a fast turnover you won't be waiting long. Why are you in such a hurry anyway,your saving time on not cooking and shopping,see it that way,your in and out so fast with a freshly made meal.the chips are made from good quality potatoes,cooked properly, ie perfectly fluffy inside but crisp too great selection of ice cream by a local producer. The winning formula.good ingredients cooked simply by an expert. One thing baffles me..people refernce to the price f a fish supper, 6.50 as steep,high end.. I ordered a fish supper and a single steak pie - it came to 17.30! Just for one meal and one pie! So yeah it's expensive but I felt reassured by the award winning sign they have. When I got it home I realised they had only included half the amount of chips you would expect (the chips were in a single layer and didn't even cover the base). I decided they were busy and had just made a mistake so I phoned to see if they would give me a proper portion. Without even asking to see my portion they said it was a standard size and I could leave a message on FB 😅 So over priced. Half portion. Terrible customer service. They got one star because the fish was a fair size and I'm fair.. But eating here is a definite risk and bad...
