The Menai Centre is an unusual shopping centre in that most of the shops are located on the outside, so you walk around it rather than through it. It's still quite modern and still quite shiny but it's maybe suffered a fatal blow with the closure of Debenhams which was its anchor store and by far it's biggest draw. A few other stores have also closed but a few are hanging on, including River Island, Superdrug and a shabby branch of Poundland. Surprisingly Burger King having previously closed down has bucked the trend by reopening. It's not worth rushing to visit and there's not much elsewhere in Bangor City centre to justify visiting.

p.s. Some of the reviews posted here are quite clearly of the nearby Deiniol Shopping Centre (that's where Iceland and Vision Express are) but the Deiniol isn't worth making the effort of a...

A dieing shopping center clinging on but only just. There is very few shops left in the building , most shops have left with some shop units having been empty since day one. There was potential for it to be good but it's never lived up to that potential and I fear it never will and will slowly lose the last remaining...
