I would give it 0 stars if I could. My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights while we were helping our daughter move out of uni. Well, where do I start? We arrived at 1:40 but were told that we couldn't check in till 2, so we were sent away. Once we went back to check in, the lady at the desk said we couldn't pay yet because her daughter was away - the next day we literally had to look for someone in order to pay, absolutely ridiculous. There was a lot of junk in the conservatory which was very messy and an big eyesore. I had to ask for the key once we were told our room number. Once we got to the room, things got continuously worse - there was mould in the bathroom, the curtains weren't hung properly and there were blinds missing, the walls and floor were extremely dirty as well as mould everywhere too. At one point , I thought sleeping in the car would be a better option. The whole room gave us the impression it hadn't been cleaned before our arrival. There was a cobweb hanging from the ceiling which I had to throw a cushion up to get rid of. We couldn't successfully connect to the WiFi either after asking for the password. It's a B&B but there was no mention of how breakfast worked in the mornings. When we checked out, there was absolutely no one around, so just had to leave our keys at the desk without speaking to anyone. Do not stay here, it is the most unprofessional establishment we had ever seen...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent stay at this hotel in Wales was truly unacceptable.|We booked a family room as described on the website: two rooms with one double bed and one single bed. Upon arrival, we were told our reserved room was unavailable due to a hot water issue, but they promised to fix it and move us back. That never happened. Instead, we were crammed into a tiny room with three single beds squeezed together, leaving no space to move around.|The room was filthy and outdated. The shower tap was oxidized and grimy, the tub was visibly dirty, and the entire bathroom felt neglected. We even found a spider in the room. The water kettle was rusted and unusable. Nothing matched the photos or descriptions online — it felt like a bait-and-switch.|To make matters worse, on our last day, the owner offered us a ride to the train station and then charged us £20 for diesel — a short trip that would’ve cost only £8 with UberXL. That felt exploitative and dishonest.|Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. The hotel was dirty, misleading, and overpriced. I would not recommend this place to anyone — it felt more like a scam than a legitimate...
Read moreUnfortunately, this place is an overpriced let down. I would never stay here again. The price is outrageous for what it is, maybe in 2017 this lodge was nice. The room felt run down, dreary and questionably clean. There was a set of dirty towels and underwear left hanging in the bathroom when I arrived, the one lamp was broken, tiles falling off in toilet. The rooms are not soundproofed at all, a neighbor opening their room sounds as if they’re opening your door, at all hours of the night. The place was loud until late several nights, from guests or various long term residents of the place “working on the house.” It feels a bit like you are in someone else’s home and there is a lot going on. The cost compared to other lodgings makes no sense, it costs more and offers way less. I would not stay here again. Aside from the proximity to Snowdonia and the woman who runs it who’s extremely sweet, this place lacks many basic...
