Lovely building to start with..The museum was very interesting and we had some yummy food in the cafe. Very much enjoyed looking at the art. The gallery is very spacious and there were a couple of different artists which was very nice. The artwork was of a very high standard and we spent most of our time in the gallery area. The staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is a well stocked gift shop with some delightful and imaginative items at reasonable prices. I was in there only about thirty minutes (half the time I was in the cathedral). This is not because there is not much of interest - there is much to see of local archaeological discoveries, social history, and industrial traditions. And it is all displayed well in a professional and user-friendly manner.
