Not my favourite place. Decided to eat here for convenience and was rather disappointed dispute low expectations. I know that to get gammon, egg, peas and chips for £5 means some corners will inevitably be cut but the peas were tinned (otherwise they wouldn't be so anaemic) and the egg was very overdone. In fact I've never had a fried egg who's white sticks immovably to my fork before. The gammon seemed OK but it had loads of water inside. I refuse to eat tinned peas or peas cooked continuously for hours to remove all traces of goodness along with their natural green colour. Frozen peas cost about the same anyway. The coke machine was broken and the orange juice dispenser had only regular cups and I wanted a large.
No, not impressed really.
If you've got a whole family to feed on a budget then it's a better habit than McDonalds but most of us can improve on this without thinking too hard or...
Read moreWent to the cafe for breakfast, ordered the ultimate breakfast with a portion of chips.
The ultimate breakfast was missing a Larne sausage, a slice of bacon, and a flat mushroom.
Worst was the portion of chips I ordered to go with it. As I got to the bottom of the portion of chips I found mayonnaise in the pot. I hadn't put any mayonnaise on my chips which left me thinking that either the pot hadn't been washed or the chips had been recycled off another plate.
Black pudding was overcooked, Larne sausage was gristly. Table was also a bit mucky.
All in all it completely spoiled my appetite and experience.
I was refunded 1.99 for the chips at my request from the manager. I didn't mention the missing items as by the time I'd realised I'd eaten most of the meal and figured it would look like I was being difficult.
Serious retraining needed at this branch based on...
Read moreMorrisons cafe during eat out to help out, a rather unfortunate poor experience!
Usually a good experience on the occasions I visit a Morrisons store for a meal. On this occasion I visited the Glasgow Fort store during the 'Eat out to help out' scheme it wasn't so good. Not enough staff to cope with the demand, they were run off their feet and not enough food left for the menu to be fulfilled. This was not that late in the day. At least 4 or 5 items were unavailable to order, also they had run out of tomato sauce, not for me though, but my son, was disappointed. Also despite confirming my order twice at the till, the order that arrived was incorrect and some items had to be reordered. This might well be in relation to the busy nature of the day, but all the same disappointing. Morrisons generally is a decent enough place to eat but in these occasions...
