Perfect Playland — Local services in Great Britain

I’ve booked soft play sessions here before, but the play frame is quite basic, so my child usually loses interest quickly and felt it was overpriced for what it is. We only returned for a playdate and again for the Spider-Man event, hoping it would be a special experience since my little one is a big fan. I wouldn’t have gone otherwise, but I convinced myself it would be worth it.

Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming and the owner incredibly rude. I paid £19 for a 2 hour session for one child and one adult. £5 just for me to sit, which is ridiculous! The event was advertised to include superhero training and a cape ceremony, but none of that happened. There was nothing superhero related downstairs and my little one kept asking when he’d see SpiderMan. There were quite a few other children you could see getting restless.

We waited 1.5 hours before finally being called to meet SpiderMan. By then, my child was frustrated and in tears. The interaction was anticlimactic, a tattoo and some glitter at the same time; told to do a pose and was given a mask, a quick photo, and that was it. Maybe 5 minutes max. There was no real interaction or anything engaging. They also spoke in bad American accents, and combined with the masks, my little one couldn’t make out what they were saying. He left and started crying feeling disappointed, as he wanted to see more of Spiderman.

I went to the till to ask if Spiderman would come down after everyone saw him, however was told no, by the owner, only if there was time at the end. I expressed how my little one was disappointed and he expected to see Spiderman a bit more. It was clear she does not take feedback well, as I was met with soo much attitude and defensiveness and just overall seemed angry with what I told her. I was genuinely shocked by the way she spoke to me, especially as I approached her calmly and spoke with nothing but good intentions. I had no intention of upsetting her, so I calmly explained that I wasn’t being rude, I simply felt it was more constructive to share my feedback directly rather than leave a negative review. However, before I could finish speaking, she walked away from me while I was talking. I was genuinely stunned by her behaviour and told her there was no reason to be so rude, then walked away myself as I was starting to feel frustrated by the whole situation.

I picked up my little boy, who was still in tears, and started to leave. As I walked out, she shouted after me, telling me I should’ve closed the gate behind me, which felt completely petty. I was clearly carrying my crying child along with all our things, with no free hands, and from what I recall, the gate has a hinge anyway.

The way she conducted herself toward a paying customer was completely unacceptable, and frankly, she should be embarrassed by her behaviour. Regardless of what was advertised, no child should leave a paid event in tears because of how disappointing it was. I even spoke with another parent who also felt let down by the experience. Fantastic Soft Play Party – Highly Recommend!

We recently hosted our child’s birthday party here and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The venue was clean, spacious, and packed with a beautiful soft play area to keep the kids entertained for hours.

The staff was incredibly friendly and well-organised, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The party area was decorated, and the food provided was perfect for little ones. Our child and their friends had an absolute blast climbing, sliding, and exploring the play area.

We also hired the little mermaid (Ariel) which was through the website to attend the party and she was utterly incredible. My little girl was mesmerised by her.

We had our daughter's 4th birthday at the perfect playland and the team made sure everything was managed and taken care of. We chose to have a character visit which along with the music and games she played with the children made it extra special. There was plenty of food and it all came out in good time. The children had a fantastic time on the soft play and it was perfect for the mix of ages we had at the party. There were enough seats for the adults too who enjoyed lunch and drinks from the well stocked cafe. A wonderful afternoon thank you.
