*New Management* - Since the new owners took over this place recently the place is packed and you can see why. There is something for everyone. I have always said Shefford needed a proper cafe (open 7 days a week, lots of options) and this is exactly what we needed. Food is delicious, the best of its kind in the area. I wouldn’t be surprised if people in the surrounding towns and villages travelled here for a lovely brekkie or lunch. Personally, we have had the English breakfast (massive portion), the healthy breakfast (smoked salmon, feta, poached eggs etc) and my new favourite which is the Mediterranean breakfast. All breakfast items include a tea/coffee and toast/bread. We have also tried the quarter pounder and the panini, both were lovely. Very clean place now under the new management and the decor is much nicer. Finally, the staff are all really friendly, quick and welcoming. A special shoutout to Hazel the owner. Portions are VERY generous and prices are reasonable. My family and I love this place now and they have a regular customer.

Great! Understand the vegan palette. Had a great breakfast a couple of weeks ago and lunch more recently. Had the Egyptian toasted hummus wrap which had the lightest fluffy falafel. Proper crispy french fries as well. The breakfast has 3 hash browns - which when you eat breakfast out, you want!! So good. In the summer, so nice to sit outside :). The falafels could be a dish by themselves and also part of the vegan breakfast. So delicious and authentic. Keep up the good food! So friendly as well.

We are moving to Shefford this month and went to view the property before exchanging. My daughter and I went into the Loft to grab some lunch. They are a friendly bunch, and the food is delicious, we sat outside and watched the world go by. Go grab something to eat or drink and enjoy the sunshine. We will be back when we move.

Nestled in the heart of Shefford, Bedfordshire, The Loft Cafe welcomes patrons under new management, led by the delightful manageress Hazal. From the moment we stepped in, her warm welcome set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

Operating from 9am to 4pm on most weekdays, with extended hours on weekends, the cafe offers an all-day breakfast menu. Whether you prefer a smaller, lighter Classic Breakfast or a hearty Breakfast Plate, featuring options like the indulgent Full English or the tantalising Mediterranean breakfast, there's something to suit every palate.

With newly refurbished interiors boasting stylish decor, including a striking Loft Sign mounted on the wall, and the option of outdoor seating for observing Shefford High Street's hustle and bustle, the ambiance is inviting and cozy.

The menu is extensive yet reasonably priced, featuring homemade dishes like Shepherd's pie, grilled chicken, and lamb chops, alongside an array of salads, pasta dishes, sandwiches, and more. Homemade cakes and desserts add a sweet touch to the offerings.

During my visit, I opted for Classic Breakfast #4 paired with a cappuccino. The food arrived promptly, piping hot, and cooked to perfection. The black pudding was succulent, the locally sourced bacon crispy yet lean, and the egg flawlessly cooked. Each bite was a testament to the cafe's commitment to quality ingredients and meticulous preparation.

In addition to a large upstairs seating area, The Loft boasts an excellent selection of barista coffees, soft drinks, juices, smoothies, and milkshakes, all offered at exceptional value.

But what truly sets The Loft apart is its exceptional staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their friendliness and attentiveness make every visit a pleasure.

In conclusion, The Loft Cafe in Shefford is a hidden gem, offering delicious fare, welcoming ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a leisurely coffee, it's well...

Usually this is my go to place for breakfast and the one I always recommend however today was so very dissatisfying there only seemed to be one waitress so we were prepared to have a bit of a wait which was fine if we had received what we ordered and all together my partners breakfast came out first missing the toast and mushrooms he had asked for as extra the toast finally came out just before he was finished we never did get the mushrooms, my daughter asked for her hollandaise sauce on the side as she doesn’t like her food covered in it but that was ignored so she ended up scraping most of it off side order of hash browns turned up just before she had finished the rest of her food, her partners was next missing toast again that took ages, by this time everyone had nearly finished mine came with the eggs fried which I do not eat I had asked 3 times for poached so I sent it back and asked for it to be cancelled as I did not want to be the only one eating when the others were finished, we were just getting up to leave and the waitress said your food will be here in 5 minutes despite me having already cancelled it, the lady behind the counter was lovely and had no problem removing the food that we hadn’t had and I did apologise as I probably came across rude but I was so frustrated and annoyed I was really looking forward to my breakfast. My suggestion is if you are short staffed make sure the waitress you do have in is experienced and understands your request as I’m not sure this one did. Will I go back maybe which is a shame I really like it here. Others were asking for things to be taken off the bill as they were not received or asking for things that were missing so it was not just us. Overall disappointed...

Received friendly greeting when visited for family get together for lunch. Most chose Breakfast which was well presented with rustic brown or white toasted bread, poached eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns, all delicious & hot. Unusually, in place of a cup of tea, some members shared a glass of potent red wine, given it was a xmas get together 😉 which went rather well. Some members carrying "precious cargo" stuck to a cup of tea 😊. Only small issue but ultimately important, one member was served crockery with lipstick from a previous customer. It was wiped using a sterile wipe & was raised with the assistant, who apologised & offered to change item. Several wines requested were out of stock, hardly surprising given this was just after xmas & we were offered a good substitute. Venue had a tempting selection of naughty cakes/puds; chose coffee & walnut cake, which didn't disappoint as was moist & made well, however cake did not include any walnuts - a walnut or 2 to decorate top of cake or chopped walnuts within the sponge was certainly missed. Had a pleasant time here so thank you to all staff who...
