We visited countless wonderful villages and hidden gems along the way, all thanks to his expertise.

tl;dr A superlative tour of Scotland

I booked Serenity tours for a semi-custom tour of Scotland, starting in Edinburgh and finishing in Inverness. The tour involved a half-day city tour, as well as a multi-day driving tour. We had 4 passengers, ranging from 30-60 years of age. The driving tour was very safe and comfortable. Our tour guides, Iain and Joanne, made the journey convivial and incredibly informative, but without feeling like we were being lectured.

As an American, I appreciated the candid cultural insights of a local. As a tourist, I appreciated the historical connections and stories that Iain and Joanne provided. The guides' encyclopedic knowledge of the country, and their story-telling ability heightens the experience of touring an incredibly beautiful country.

Booking was very easy. I communicated via E-mail to agree on an itinerary. Day-of communication was handled via WhatsApp. Invoicing was simple and secure via Square digital payment.

Overall, Serenity delivered a great experience that I would recommend to anyone wanting to make their tour more comfortable and/or more informative.

The best part of our 2 week trip to the UK was a 3-day Highland tour with Iain! He carefully planned the perfect itinerary for our family of 5 (children 15, 11 and 11)- filled with castles, fairies, animals, Harry Potter and stories of queens and kings. He picked us up outside our Edinburgh AirBnb in a very comfortable and large 9 seater van. Iain filled our driving time with stories, music, poetry and answered all our questions. He knows everything related to history and his gorgeous country. Iain is a true gem in today's world- he talked to and cared about our children, knew when to focus on details and when skip them to hold our interest, personalized our days, and found restaurants and inns that could accommodate families. In the end, he became a part of our family! Do NOT hesitate to book with Serenity Scotland! If you want to visit the countryside and truly get to know the culture, there is no other way to do so. Our family already wants to come back and our 15 year-old insists that she wants to move to the Highlands. Scotland is magical and it's all because Iain brought the land alive.
