I WENT TO SUTTON FISHERIES YESTERDAY EVENING (04/01/2023 AND ORDERED PATTIE PEAS & CHIPS, I ASKED IF THE CHIPS WAS HOT, THEY REPLIED YES. WHEN I RECEIVED MY ORDER THE CHIPS WAS WARM, TO MY ANNOYANCE THE OWNER HAD A BAD ATTITUDE, HE TOLD ME THAT I TOOK LONGER IN APPLYING SALT & VINEGAR TO MY MEAL AND THATS WHY THEY WAS WARM. I ASKED FOR FRESH CHIPS BUT HE REFUSED, I WAS TOTALLY GOB SMACKED BY THIS HE THEN GAVE ME A REFUND. SO I DROVE TO SUE DOWNS FISH & CHIP SHOP WHICH IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER WHERE I RECEIVED GREAT SERVICE & A RED HOT MEAL WHICH WAS ALL THAT I WANTED & IT WAS VERY ENJOYABLE (DONT USE...

Staff are always spot on, however something has changed, 2 years ago this was the best chippy around, we have just had fish and chips and the fish was awful luckily my wife had gluten free so was cooked fresh, yes fish is made to order I can guarantee mine was not fresh, I also had something for lunch last week and it was stone cold, recommend pappas just up the road batter actually stays on the fish, unfortunately sutton is 2 minutes from our house but would much rather drive the extra 5 minutes for better quality and would rather pay the extra couple of quid,...

This business has just been taken over and instead of altering their hours of business on their website (which now includes closing early). They simply didn't do anything about the situation. So about 3 weeks ago I walked to the fish shop (about 1 mile), only to find that they had closed and were busy cleaning up. Asked why they didn't alter the open and closing times the reply was something along the lines of we don't know how to do this and the attitude was, couldn't give a dam !!!!!. I promised to publish this experience...
