I got a medium sized pizza and a BBQ bacon burger coming to under £14.

The burger as a whole was ok, the Bacon was cooked well and bbq sauce was nice. However the burger itself was a good size but needed to be cooked better. It’s looks as if it was cooked in an oven and tasted slightly uncooked. It needs to be cooked better where there’s a nice crust on the burger. The texture was too mushy like undercooked.

The pizza was ok, it didn’t stand out from the crowd and was just normal pizza slightly better than the places that use ready made bases. The complimentary garlic sauce is a nice touch

Ordered the fat donner pizza and the donner tasted like bucket donner rather than fresh from the spit, which I felt compromised the pizza in terms of quality.

Navigation pizza edges past them in terms of base sauce and ingredients.

Overall I’d give them a 3.8 out of 5.

Room for improvement. Will update my review in 3 months to see if improvements...

Our first experience at TheFatPizza Derby: as I downloaded the App, I received an extra free pizza to my order. Quite by accident, because my hubby was rushing me to order, I ended up ordering both in the Chicken Shwarna flavour, which was delicious even though I had wanted to order the Chicken tikka. The base for the Shwarma pizza was a garlic one…really unusual and delicious. I also ordered another, the Kheema pizza (mince) which had the masala base …also unusual but so fabulous! Now, let’s talk about that pizza base …it’s the very first time that I have tasted such fresh dough…beautiful and soft thick crust! I personally prefer thin base but this was a wonderful pizza! So, all in all, a really great pizza outlet to try if you’re fed up with dry, yeasty and “old”dough from all the other pizza brand offerings out there. Just tried the newly opened The Fat Pizza place and wow — what a delicious surprise! The crust was perfectly crispy yet soft inside, the toppings were fresh and generously loaded, and the flavours were chef’s kiss. You can really tell they care about quality and customer experience.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick despite how busy they were. I also loved the cozy vibe — it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back with friends or even grab a solo slice.

If you're a pizza lover (or even just pizza-curious), this spot is a must-try. Definitely a new go-to for comfort...
