Ordered through ubereats. Ordered 4 dishes. When I ordered I received a notification that one dish was sold out. I was given the option to swap this and this was confirmed in the app. Some 15/20 minutes later I received a call that one of my other items was sold out. It was clear there were no alternatives so I accepted a cash refund on delivery. When my order arrived I only had two items. Not the one I swapped in app, I was confused at this because it wasn’t mentioned on the phone. There was also a menu involved in the bag, which showed that I had paid on average £3 over for each dish. I called to ask for more information on both those issues. The woman on the phone just shouted at me and then hung up when I expressed how disappointed I was. All I wanted was an explanation, compensation or my missing dish. Not to be yelled at. We’ve ordered here for years but haven’t done in quite a while. My daughter and her boyfriend came over after we’d all had a tough day so thought we’d order a takeaway. We picked Oriental Express and wish we hadn’t. After ordering we were told it would be 45 mins for delivery, after waiting for an hour and 15 mins I phoned again only to be told the delivery driver was just about to leave. We are only two miles away from the takeaway and it took the driver another 45 mins to arrive so 2 hours in total. When he arrived I asked what he was going to do to compensate us as this had ruined our evening and all I was told is that I might get a discount if I ordered again. What a joke, why would I.
