The Ocean Fish Bar — Local services in Great Britain

Ordered fish and chips delivery for tea tonight from ocean chippy aylmer Road when it arrived there was a layer off cold so called chips in the bottom off the box and a very skinny over cooked fish ontop off the chips it was broken into 3 peices it looked like half the fish had been eaten out off the batter when I rang to complain there excuse was the fish was to big so they had to break it to fit in the long box they sent half empty the so called chips were cold like cardboard and the fish was tasteless had more skin than fish was very dry for 15 quid you would expect better quality and service wasnt offered any refund disgusting won't be buying from there again if that's how they...

I used to frequent this chippy when I lived in Aylestone. I always loved that they did some specials as well as the standard chippy grub - their fried chicken is amazing, and they used to do a Battered Pigs In Blanket!

I went again recently and whilst it was good, in all honesty the prices and portions let them down. A large chips cost £4.20, and compared to other chippys it wasn't what id consider a large portion. I had two pieces of the fried chicken and even though it still had that lovely homemade batter, the meat was very dry. At £2.65p a piece I would have wanted them to be perfect.

No brainer !! Ocean Fish Bar is honestly one of my favourite places to eat. Andy, is a top guy - always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he really cares about the place. It’s a proper family-run business with great vibes and even better food.

The fish is always fresh, portions are spot on, and the service is quick and genuine every time. You have to try the spicy potatoes - they’re unreal! Easily one of the best things on the menu along with the mediterranean chicken.
