Love this place! ...
Following the above, 5 star review, I have been angered enough to return and edit it. This is why.
Now, I love The Range, because the products on offer are good quality, reasonably priced and plenty to choose from. Do NOT EVER go to The Range after Christmas, needing their Customer Service counter. Granted, just after Christmas it is a painful time of the year for retail. Countless refunds, exchanges and confusion. I returned because having bought two picture mounts at £1.49 each, I had purchased the wrong size. Staff at Customer Service took my receipt, circled the items and told me to return when I had found what I needed. They were not polite about it, but rather dismissive, conveyor belt like. My partner and I returned after 40 minutes with new purchases, which turned out to be worth £36.00. We waited near 10 minures to be served. Busy times, I get it. Then we were told that although, the items were in their original packaging, never used, as I had purchased them over 28 days ago, we had to keep them. And so, for approximately £3.00, staff used Company Policy to irritate me as a customer to a point where, no matter how much I love the products at The Range, I want nothing to do with it. So, thank you The Range staff for being so diligent that the bigger picture means nothing to...
Read moreHad a really bad experience this evening in the Range the staff were utterly rude , I went to the checkout to pay for my goods and questioned the price of a bowl , on the shelf there were two piles of the same bowl at £2.45 but it came up on the till at £6+ . A supervisor was called who frostily said she can't possibly sell it at the shelf price it all went downhill from there, I was told they could refuse to serve me because I complained someone wasn't doing there job , lt culminated in the assistant at the till talking over me as I was packing my bag saying I knew she was trouble as soon as I served her , I chose to let that go as I was leaving . On top of all the this the shop was absolute chaos , stock everywhere , no prices on many of the items , no staff available to ask , only one checkout open , this being at the enquiry desk which is very tricky on a mobility scooter, store shopping baskets left at the counter so I couldn't move & no member of staff offered to help a man who was leaving came back to help me . The list goes on , needles to say I won't be going back , shame because they sell some...
