On Sunday 20th October 2024 at approximately 7:50pm, my partner Dawn Lavery, ordered two pizzas (via Foodhub Order ID: 1049842014, @ the Walthamstow branch costing £26.97. We waited....and waited. The Foodhub website simply kept on saying 'Cooking'! At 9:20pm completely frustrated we called Fat Pizza - in Southend. They claimed that they knew nothing about the order, despite us giving them the order number, and cross-referencing that the £26.97 had already been debited from Dawn's bank account. Most other Pizza companies concerned with maintaining an excellent reputation would normally replace the order - not Fat Pizza. Staff claimed that they would be 'sacked' for doing so. I asked to speak to senior management, only to be 'fobbed-off' with: 'we are not allowed to give the names of duty managers or owners....but you are free to surf the Web via Companies House.' I was so annoyed that I actually drove to the Walthamstow branch to take them up on this. All they could say was that they too, were not allowed to replace our order. I returned home and made another call to Southend. 'The only thing that you can do for you Sir, is to place another order for another £26.97 and we will refund the original £26.97 within 3-5 days. We did NOT place another order and have NOT been refunde either. Absolutely disgraceful! We want our money back immediately and will continue to post negative reviews, until we do....
Read moreI ordered a meal from Fat Pizza at 17:39 this evening. At 19:00 I ended up having to cancel my order. My issue is this, I ordered through their app. The app advised my food would be ready by 18:30-18:40. At 18:23, I received a message that my food was en route, and would be 7 minutes. At 18:50 I phoned the call centre, and got through to a young lady who couldn't find my post code, proceeded to wait while my order was retrieved by my order reference number. Something I was told was not needed at the start of the call. Eventually after asking for a manager i spoke to an unhelpful and rather rude young man, who said i should know its Friday and I should be prepared to wait as long as it takes. Thing is, i ordered and went with Fat Pizza on the basis that I had an understanding of the length of time their app advised. Its important to remember this, a take away is a treat. A reward for the end of the working week. We choose to spend our hard earned money with you, on the basis that you can meet the standards set by yourself. I suspect Fat Pizza will not care at losing my custom. However you do this on a weekly basis and I can assure you will be gone in a few years time. But at least I have Pappa John's to fall back on. Read moreOrdered from "Watta Burger" but it seems that's just some new name for these guys as it came in Fat Pizza boxes and even the Deliveroo address brings me here! Misleading people isn't a good way to do business.
Anyway, ordered this great looking burger and received something completely different. See the pics, how cheeky is that?!. Crispy fries were actually curly fries (fine whatever, but might annoy some). Missed out a drink and fries from our order too, luckily Deliveroo makes a refund on that easy.
It was still OK food and it wasn't terrible, but it really wasn't worth the price we paid as it wasn't the premium looking meal we ordered - the images on Deliveroo show much better food than the basic stuff we received.
Won't order again from either of these (same place anyway it seems), complete mis-sell.
If it turns out that Watta Burger just happen to be right next door to these guys, and they just happened to borrow some boxes, more fool you for letting someone else put food in a box with your brand on it. But this feels like a sneaky rebrand to avoid the other poor reviews here.
Also worth checking Watta Burger's "5 star" hygeine rating on Deliveroo...it's for some Thai place in London. Everything about...
