I have had 3 scans at ultra-sound direct in Hull so far this pregnancy. I had an early reassurance scan at 6+2 (by lmp), then another reassurance type scan at 9+6 (by lmp) to make sure everything was still okay before telling family, and then I had my gender scan at 16+5 (by nhs dating). All 3 scans I loved. The reception staff are lovely and friendly and the sonographer is also lovely and friendly. She does a thorough job of checking on baby and reassuring you. She also asked each time something like 'Is that okay?' before she stopped scanning. I felt comfortable and the big tv that you get to see baby on is awesome. The gender scan comes with a little 4d viewing as well as 3d images. Each scan included prints (the later scans had a fair few prints too) along with all pictures and videos being downloadable from a link they send you. Some private places seem to charge extra for prints which I just think is crazy when you're already paying for a private scan. Thankfully ultra-sound direct includes them for free (or in with the price)

Also, you have to pay for your baby's photos on the email which...
