I had never been here before and visited to scout out a potential replacement to the Cineworld, which I visit every week and is now closing.
Sadly, it was dreadful - cold, dirty and worn out, which are actually minor issues compared to the astronomical noise bleed between screens and the refusal of the cinema management to even acknowledge the issue.
Thought the entire movie there were pounding bass notes coming from the next screen. My companion even wondered why the movie we were watching had incredibly loud bass banging on during quiet sensitive scenes until I pointed out that it was noise bleed from the next screen.
Upon leaving the room I asked the young chap cleaning the cinema if there was a nightclub next door - he immediately understood that I was referring to noise bleed and said that there was a Bollywood movie on next door which is loud throughout. He directed me to a manager who he said would be able to offer me a refund.
The manager I then spoke to said that she had no knowledge of any noise bleed issues, and that I was the first person that had ever raised it with her. This is possible only if she started working at the cinema the day before my visit - it is simply so loud that I cannot be the first person to raise it.
A refund was refused and I will never visit this...
Read moreWe went to watch movie there and we entered our car details for free parking. Now we got £60 for parking fee. We paid £61.50 on 11/10/23 for parking. Now we're not interested in seeing movie there...Otherwise we watch half movie and get out for parking time issues. Not can enjoy movie due to parking time issues. This is happened us in 19/8/23. It is shameful to charge parking fee for watching movie. Interesting thing is they didn't send us email the proof of parking fee we paid. The interesting thing is we got another letter on 12/10/23 to pay another £60. We totally helpless and not know what to do. Friends beware of this parking scam there. We lost not only money but also our peace of mind due to watching a movie. This theatre is playing a big role in this parking scam. If You going to watch Indian language movie there the running time will be more than 3 hours. So be careful when watching Indian language movie. Cineworld and Odeon has no this type of parking issues. So be careful and think twice before when going to watch Indian language movie there. Otherwise your pocket will go empty. So for Indian language movie viewers it is like a paid car parking, not free...
Read more14/02/24 Just tried to watch Bob Marley....probably the worst experience I've had at a cinema. From the start...when I got the tickets from the counter. I ordered a drink and some popcorn. I wanted ice cream. I've never had to order the ice cream at the same place you buy the movie tickets from before. Walked over to the ice cream counter to be told I should of ordered it at the same time as buyig the movie tickets. The line was long and slow and I was told I would have to queue up again ...so no ice cream!!!!. The cinema was noisy all we could hear was sweet wrappers, people talking, phones beeping through out the movie and the man next to my wife was drunk talking all the way through the movie, he was on his phone all the time, rolling cigarettes drinking beer. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS CINEMA AGAIN. STAFF UNHELPFUL.. not the film experience I'm looking for or prepared to pay for again. Do yourself a favour and avoid this vue cinema...hopefully i will be able to watch the film at home in the future as we missed most of it due to the...
