Welcome Inn Chinese Takeaway — Local services in Great Britain

I’ve sat on this review since Sunday, simply because the food in Welcome Inn is so delicious. My daughter and I went to collect our order which came to £25. I mistakenly handed over £40 a £20 & 2x£10 notes. The woman behind the counter went ahead to put the money into the till, on which I instantly realised what mistake I made, saying ooh I’ve given you £10 more than I should have. Unfortunately the woman started questioning me, and was I sure, she was very reluctant to giving me back the extra £10 that I had given over, she dropped the money then brought up a £20 note and £10, dropping the other £10. We went back on forth with regards to the mistake. She did eventually give me back the extra £10 but was not comfortable doing this, and seemed quite happy to be taking the extra £10. Saddened by this because this is our go to take away, and they only accept cash, so please be careful when handing over money and double check change, because given the chance the take away...

Don't usually take time to write reviews but was really dissapointed with this chinese, been recommended from a few people but i don't know if this was an off day or something. Chicken curry was completely tasteless like it didnt taste of anything. Sweet and sour hong kong style was the worst, the sauce was so watery all over my plate. Really great Chinese takeaway. My partner is vegan and there are a lot of great options. You get a lot of food for your money: very fairly priced.

I tend to phone ahead and they are pretty accurate with timings. Can get busy at the weekend, but that’s just because the food is great! The staff are always very nice and clearly appreciate your business. Be aware they are cash only. There is a free ATM at the Tesco...
