Indian Scene — Restaurant in Scotland

Went here for the first time tonight. It has been recommended to us by a few friends so wanted to try it. It seems somewhat hidden and I have passed this place hundreds of times over the years and never really noticed it. First off the place itself is very nice inside. Spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are excellent and pleasant and really attentive. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them. Service was quick and nothing was ignored.

The food was served quickly and was piping hot. We had the mixed starter as well as the spicy onions and everything was cooked to perfection. The mains were just as well cooked and this is where it excels. The selection is brilliant with everything from mild to the very hot and the range of new flavours you get when eating dishes you have eaten elsewhere before is phenomenal. It's at times like these you realise that you have just been complacent and lazy using other restaurants when places like this exist. I cannot recommend this place enough. The prices are really competitive but the staff, food and the restaurant itself make the whole dining experience excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant with a chilled out vibe as well. Dined here recently as a party of four, food was brilliant. We were served by a very polite woman and what appeared to be a new manager. This man was incredibly rude to the woman who was serving us and decided to give her a lesson on how to pick up plates in a proper manner whilst making his anger toward her very obvious for not picking up the plates in the exact order he had asked her to- when it was myself that had passed her the plates in my own order. Again. At the table, he made her watch him demonstrate how to wipe crumbs off of a table. I’m all my years of working in hospitality I am well aware of the correct manner a manager should try to influence their team. This was not it. This was absolutely shocking to watch. My family and I were incredibly uncomfortable throughout the whole meal as this manager was incredibly cheeky and ignorant towards us. Went here on Saturday 28 juluy had a nice nite food was good and drinks were served quick, ONLY GRIPE PROBLEM was the wee old guy who served us our curry forgot to get us some of our order and then the idiot mixed up and forgot what was what , he works there so you would think he new what he brung us to eat ! ! ! , the other waiter Carl fixed it up and apologised even though it wasnt his fault but he remedied the mess that the food server did and he turnede our evening around otherwise it would have been horrible as i took wife out for her 50th bithday . I would have never gone back but as Carl fixed it out I will give it a go again hoping it is better 2nd time .
