Harvies — Restaurant in Scotland

Since the new licencees have taken over, the service is dire. Takes forever to get served at the bar and they don't bother to check who is next to be served. Customers are walking out. They just serve whoever is standing in front of them. They seem very lazy. They make no eye contact with customers, hardly ever collect glasses and the floor was soaking wet with just a sign to say so, but no attempt to dry it off. The regular staff that are still working here are so hard working, but they are carrying the new regime. Walked in with 2 freinds, one of who it was his birthday and we intended having a Steak Pie, Mash, and pies, as we had it during our last visit and was it lovely.

However this time around my freind approached the bar to order 3 x meals and 3 drinks, only to be told by the barman after advise from waitress, that he nor my friend or I were being served?

We had 2 drinks before entering Harvies bar, I assure you we were not even tipsy.

The barman open some civil questioning as to why, he told us he was manager and didn't need to give a reason?

So glad we popped in here, two for a tenner meals didn't have high expectations but a bit pushed for time, well eat yer words Linda Steak pie, mash and veg was delicious and piping hot, cleared the plate, beautiful the dear meat loads of gravy happy me. Other half had jumbo sausage, chips and beans also a clean plate. Friendly staff, efficient service would recommended this place it has a kids menu at a reasonable price. IF I'm ever back in the area I'll certainly pop in for a meal. Well...
