From placing the order for a workshop via the excellent Skinners website I received several phone calls from the same salesperson confirming all aspects of my order, delivery arrangements and ensuring property would have sufficient access and base preparation. It was very professional and reassuring. The workshop arrived promptly on the agreed day and the team of Harry, Mario and Darius were very careful to get my agreement on the precise placement of the workshop base on my concrete raft before getting to work. They were similarly careful to get the doors and windows in the correct positions, before completing an excellent job. I couldn't be more pleased with finished workshop, and have added the supplied paint, my own guttering, internal insulation, boarding and additional flooring to enhance it's all-year round practicality. I just had an encounter with Skinners delivery team. The delivery was to my neighbour but impacted on my fence. I forgot jobsworths still existed. Rushing to get the job done they didn’t move the temporary panel which was put in place until the shed arrived to fill a gap. When asked to help move it a few feet they refused replying ‘it wasn’t their job’ and they’d put the shed against it making it inaccessible when with two seconds thought it could have been moved the 3 feet required at the start. I once worked as a delivery and assembly driver for a garden centre chain. I did everything a customer asked with humour, fun and good grace. I even laid a turf lawn gratis for a frail customer in my lunch hour. It’s called customer service. I think Skinners need to explain this to their team. I went into this site to have a look at a Wendy house for my twin girls. As soon as I arrived I was approached by a gentleman asking if I was ok and needed anything, I said I was just looking.. after the girls spent a while in and out of the Wendy houses I decided that I wanted to order that day so went in the the office where I was warmly greeted again and he took the time to go through all my questions and we discussed painting it and other options and what I should do to prepare the ground for installation.. I am a bit of a fusser but never felt rushed or a nuisance. Luckily for my twins we decided on a double Wendy house and 4 weeks later they were delighted with it when they got home from nursery.
