Cineworld Ipswich offers a cinematic experience that leaves much to be desired. The theater's location is convenient, nestled within a bustling shopping complex, but its interior lacks the charm and modernity expected from a major cinema chain. Upon entering, the dated decor and worn-out furnishings are immediately noticeable, giving the impression of neglect. The seating, though generally comfortable, shows signs of wear and tear. The limited legroom in some auditoriums may leave taller patrons feeling cramped during longer screenings. While the selection of films is extensive, the overall presentation falls short of contemporary standards. The audio quality is inconsistent, with occasional distortions that disrupt the immersive experience. Additionally, the projection quality varies across screens, with some lacking the crispness expected in today's digital age. Customer service is hit-or-miss, with staff sometimes appearing indifferent to patrons' concerns. The concession stand offers the usual fare, but prices are steep even for standard cinema snacks. On a positive note, the theater's loyalty program provides some benefits for frequent visitors. However, these perks may not be enough to offset the overall shortcomings of the Cineworld Ipswich experience. In summary, Cineworld Ipswich falls behind its competitors in terms of ambiance, technical quality, and customer service. While it may suffice for a casual moviegoer, those seeking a more refined cinematic experience may find better options elsewhere.

This is the view we had to watch batman last night. I've complained since and was told there was nothing they could do as we'd watched the film. Yes we watched it, through a large metal barrier sitting on the edge of the seat so we could actually see! I understand we could have complained there and then, but the screen was chocker and it's pretty awkward to go walking around a blacked-out full screen and there was no staff in the screen to talk to. Surely no-one should be subjected to such an obstructed view in a purpose-built modern cinema by today's standards. These seats need to be removed or the barrier removed, it's totally unacceptable to sell tickets to sit there. The customer service of just shunting me with a 'there's nothing we can do' line is also extremely poor. Not impressed with Empire at all.

Best 4DX experience . All seats move and offer impactful experience with motion and effects. The front rows may offer a more intense experience with fog and bubbles due to their proximity to the machines. Can able to stop seat motion by pulling string underneath and stop splashing water by turn off the push button right hand side chair when ever if required (×) Parking is free Tickets cost nearly 22 quid including 3D glass which cost 1.5 quid but worth it

4 key problems: 1)Insufficient parking, 2) overpriced 3) Toilets never clean & 4) heating/aircon or lack of. 5) lack of response from cineworld on reviews

  1. PARKING When going to see an evening film, especially if you are traveling from outside ipswich there are either very limited or no public transport options so you have to drive and therefore need somewhere to park. Even when big blockbusters haven't just been released I have to allow 20-30mins to drive around the car parks before the film searching for a space. If you are lucky enough to find a space you are liable to verbal abuse from others seeking a spot (as happened to me last night). Situation has been made worse when sections of car park have been lost either temporarily (eg when refurbishment took place) or permanently (eg the whole row in front of the restaurants). The cinema and restaurants probably currently loosing trade because people can not park. Desperately needs underground or one of those low level multistorey car parks like at the railway station. Given how busy car parks are i am sure the cost would be made back from revenue in no time, through increased trade and especially if site owners also reflected in their parking charges after 6pm (ÂŁ1 which can redeem at cinema). Happy to pay more if I know I can park safely and saving cost of fuel driving in circles around car park. Alternatively the cinema needs to be prevented from using all of its screens from latest blockbusters with screenings half an hour apart until the management company provide more parking.
  2. OVERPRICED If you do manage to park the tickets really expensive. Good and drink really over prices (like a lot of cinemas). Take your own. 3)TOILETS Despite the refurbishment a year or so ago they do not appear too have solved the long term drainage issues so the main toilets always smell awful. However perhaps that's because they are always so dirty when I have visited. I also can not ever remember seeing a cleaner in the toilets.
  3. HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING I have experienced many off the same issues as other reviewers. Screens often too hot or too cold. Don't know whether to dress for winter or summer.
  4. LACK OF RESPONSE I have looked through lots of reviews in Google. Disappointed to see that cineworld don't respond to customer...

Well I'm not really a big fan of the cinema but a had a free ticket so decided to use it. So apart from the normal things of tickets being to expensive this time it wasn't but my drink was like 300% markup for a lukewarm Pepsi from the tap now that was first warm Pepsi at over ÂŁ4 not a good start I brought my own picNmix and they tried to charge me for it also not good now I'm finally ready I've got my tickets sweets and overpriced drink make it in there for the 18:10 showing that didn't start till 1900 after a ton of TV advertising not even trailers and promos for upcoming films/events in the area but actual adverts for ikia and cleaning products cars I can sit at home and watch TV advertising for free and I can smoke while I do it so WTF are they doing on cinema screen I don't mind promos and trailers for upcoming films but adverts for ruddy nippies and toothpaste takes the piss. OK so film finally starts by this time I'm already far to hot due to aircon either not working or switched off making it like an oven inside the screen the seats have become uncomfortable and hard meaning after 30 minutes I had issues with cramps and pains in my feet and legs all this combined with the lack of air in the place made it very difficult to watch the film. Is this really what your expecting people to pay for when you can quite easily stream a film at...
