Absolutely shocking service!! Ordered via app and it stayed 25-30 mins for delivery! Rung after an hour to be told my food had been waiting for 30 minutes on the hot rack but they have not enough drivers. Said it would go out next.
I called back 10 mins later to be told it is still on hot rack. I explained that i do not want a pizza that is no longer fresh and has been sat there. I said either cancel the order or give me a discount as the food isn’t fresh anymore. The guy originally said he would give me the same order free next time and then said sorry there is nothing he could do. I then asked for his name incase my refund isnt processed, the phone was passed to a girl without his name being given. She then said she could give me a free large pizza and then changed and said she can’t do so. She then said i should be greatful as some people have waited 2 hours. I explained the app said 25-30 mins but she just said that it’s wrong! She said it’s on its way then said it’s still there! She finally agreed to give me a refund and said her name was KALY! Not sure if this is true as again there was massive hesitation before giving her name. She put the phone down on me in the end!
I have wasted my entire evening and we are all now sat here hungry with no food! I spent £25 on food and this is completely unacceptable! One second being offered compensation and then it being withdrawn the next! Nobody seemed to know what they was doing! Such a bad experience! Read moreI've been using this Domino's for several years, in the last several months, the service is appalling.... Ordered chicken strippers and wedges combo several times, only received the wedges. Food usually stone cold. Other items missing, £2:50 for garlic sauce I didn't receive, the promised refund never materialised.
The male delivery driver, who very rudley, habitually talks on his phone, even whilst handing over my order, dropped a side,.. He could clearly see I'm disabled, tomato sauce everywhere. Which I had to clean up.... Walked away laughing about it to whomever he was talking to. This same driver, on another occasion, actually put my pizza box down on the ground outside my door..... Again, because he was talking on his mobile phone.
When I took the pizza, I noticed a live slug attached to the box.... I was nearly sick.... Having to throw the pizza way..... Reported to Environmental Health.
I estimate, with thrown away food, and missing items, I'm down around £48.... When I complained to the store, was met with someone who pretended they couldn't speak English.
Amy from Domino's UK Head Office proceeded to threaten me with a ban for complaining - despite clearly stating I was no longer ordering from Domino's......i also sent a photo of the slug on my pizza box.
Amy's attitude was agrressive and borderline threatening..... With her refusing to investigate me complaints.
I've also complained to Trading Standards about being habitually ripped off...
Read moreI'm noticing alot of bad reviews. It's a domino's, not a good independent place that's often alot cheaper. I've not been a fan of domino's pizza, because I got a really bad one roughly 15yrs ago and refused to get one since. With all the deals that where coming in through post, I gave them a try again and it was nice and I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but I did enjoy it and also the garlic bread side. I've ordered a few times since then and never seemed to have any problems with the quality of the food. It can be a a tiny bit more expensive than independent companies, but only thing I have a problem with is the waiting time update on the app. I only live 5min away, if that and I'll get a notification saying that its on its way and I'm waiting well over 30min since final notification. If it told me that it's still in oven, I'll be fine, but don't notify me by saying that someone is on way, when they're clearly not. I find that a bit insulting and also inconvenient, because if I'm ordering food, it's because I'm either too busy to cook, or just don't want to and don't want to be waiting around for door knock when I'm busy. I know drivers probably do multiple orders at once, but it doesn't take over 30 min to drive...
