We were looking out for a chippy on the way to Grandma's house and spotted this shop on Tong Road. Our order was taken with a smile and all cooked to order very quickly. Even whipping up a spam fritter for me to munch on the way through to our destination. Landed at Grandmas to a dinner table all set out with bread and butter, cups of tea and a prepared salad. The fish, chips, curry sauce and mushy peas were very good, huge portions, lots of scraps (as requested) and all served up in a tray, saving on the washing up afterwards. The childrens fish portions were just enough for their little mouths and all of us were thoroughly satisfied with the meal. Needless to say the salad remained untouched. We would definitely pop back to this chippy the next time fish and chips...
Read moreLovely little chip shop this great service from the lady on the counter and a smile from the fryer … busy little shop clean and tidy but the £5.95 fish chips and a side has to be one of if not the best bargains in Leeds now I’m not one for bitching about prices but food is my business and this is too cheap however they know their market … the chips were perfectly cooked the fish batter crisp and cooked through the fish small (obviously) probably 4oz but flaky and succulent … it breaks my heart watching people work so hard for so little … thank you all...
Read moreMoved to Leeds from the west coast of Scotland where they have the best fish and chips in the UK. I’d been given loads of recommendations for a decent fish supper in Leeds and none came anywhere close to the standards I expect when o get a fish supper. Ideal though is excellent, and almost on par with some of my favourite chippys in Scotland. The fish tastes super fresh and the batter has a lovely crunch and not overly oily.
