Finished work ..and was as usually like a ravenous wild dog ... I was halfway home and thought...I could just eat some fish & chips in a tray with salt and vinegar with one of those wooden forks.....once in mind ...well that's it gotta do just that. Came here and fish cooked fresh as I ordered along with the chips ...in fact they looked so nice I nearly pinched a chip from the guy's order before me . My waiting time was for the freshness so hey ho eh ! Once they were ready in tray ..off I went to gobble them sat in my car...OH lord ! My parents and I have been buying from Keys Fishers for the past 10 to 11 years. Recently their standards have dropped drastically. The fish is more greasy than usual. The inside is not clean. Lots of dust on the extractor at the front door, grease on the counter, carpets are dirty and atmosphere just overall poor. It was an ice cube in there.

Definitely need to read your reviews and take action sooner than later because you have always been really good. We will be trying a different fish and chip shop next time and see if they have better standards.

This is coming from someone who works in the food industry. Very surprised to see a 5 star food hygiene rating after the above mentioned.

The guy who said the £3.70 deal doesn't exist is either blind or...? I have eaten and enjoyed it many times. It's plenty of food for a very good price. Had small chips and a scallop last night. Scallop was lovely, well cooked and tasty. 'small' chips were bigger than most places' normal portion. More than enough.
