Went to the bistro and enjoyed a lovely meal. Staff were attentive and very friendly especially the owner who struck up conversation as he brought us our meals. The restaurant is visually appealing but the lighting should be softer to create a more relaxed vibe. The menu offers a wide variety of grilled items with vegetarian pasta and salad options. It can be said that Cafe Mokka doesn't have a lot of option but I believe that what they do have they do well which is a welcome change to going to a restaurant and finding that although you have a lot of choice, the food is mediocre at best. I enjoyed the Bistecca Griglia (Sirloin Steak) with peppercorn sauce, home made chips that were really how one expects chips to be at a restaurant and a grilled tomato . Oh what a shame!!! This used to be my favourite Greek place in Leeds. Always on speed dial for takeaway as well. But today was a complete disaster and such a disappointment. We are never going back. I ordered exactly the same dish as every time i went there, it is grilled chicken on the bones. It was absolutely devine before, today was dry and all the bones crushed!! I am pregnant and nearly choked about 3 times on extremely small pieces of crushed bones, so dangerous! The staff had the audacity to argue “ that’s how we always cook”, not it’s not, at least not the 10 times I ordered before!
