This is the Morrisons branch which I usually use, typically when I come to the shopping center on a weekly basis on Sundays.
It's got a very good layout with an excellent range of products at decent prices. The staff who work there are typically friendly and very helpful whenever you need a hand, such as with finding a product, or getting something from a high shelf which you can't reach yourself. I also one day noticed that there was a huge puddle of water on the floor at the end of one of the chilled aisles with no warning sign up, so I told one of the butchers, who then thanked me profusely, and he immediately came out and set a warning sign up, then got a mop and wiped the water up as best as he could.
2 bad experiences I've had however, (hence 4 star rating instead of 5). One week, I brought some reduced roasted rotisserie chicken, intending to eat it on the way home, and once I opened the wrapper, it stank the whole car out, because it was very burned, literally black! I couldn't have eaten it, and had to bin it as soon as I got back.
The other problem, is that there have been locks put onto loads of the trolleys, meaning that they cannot be taken into the shopping center next to the supermarket. Things were not broken, so they didn't need to be fixed! I sent an e-mail complaining about this, and got one in return explaining that it happened due to people dumping them around the area. Why not have people caught shoplifting collecting them up and returning them as community service punishment instead? It's because of this, that whenever I come to the shopping center, I always have to either look around for one of the few trolleys without a lock, or borrow one from the farmfoods branch in the shopping center instead. Please sort this out, the...
Read moreThe levels of service have really hit rock bottom in this store over the past few months. The cabinets the spirits are kept in are locked so you can't access them without staff. The buzzer is garbage the staff never turn up and you have to go and find someone to open the spirit cabinet. now the buzzer has completely disappeared so everytime you want spirits now you have to go looking for staff.
There is only usually one person on self service for fourteen tills this is ridiculous. You are waiting constantly for the poor overworked cashier to approve the problem. Then you have to wait for the security gate to be unlocked before you leave the self service area.
Both of the above leave you feeling like some kind of second rate delinquent who is being accused of being a theif when you have never stole a thing in your life.
This topped with the prices they charge is the end point for me. I have started going to Sainsbury's and Tesco in Woolton now.
The reason I have given two stars and not one of because the bakery...
Read moreAbsolutely shocking customer service and the rudest staff I have come across . Stood at fish counter for 10 minutes waiting to be served but no-one there, asked staff on next counter but was rudely told , he should be there , really helpful so gave up , then went to get food at hot meats counter and again there was no-one there so after waiting a while we gave up , when walking round the store I asked a assistant why none of the counters had staff on and my reply was , dont know , again very helpful , after this we decided to leave so took what little shopping we had and headed for the tills but there was only 2 on even though it was busy and when I asked store assistant if any more tills were opening she just ignored me and walked away , great customer service once again . I recommend you get more staff in and the ones that were in could do with some training on customer service but I for one will never shop at Morrisons again. Tescos for...
