I can’t describe fully how rude my encounter was. It was bizarre. The attitude was on another level! So strange!!! Older lady, short buzz cut. Was awful. If she hates her job / her life that much then do something about it. So not to treat others with disrespect and rudeness. Im not sure why she’s being allowed to work there. As the face of a company she one of the first people you see and makes the bakery look dreadful and unapproachable. She treated me and my friend like we where scum of the earth coming in to collect a TooGoodToGo. We do this for a bit of fun to see what we get. However this could be someone’s lifeline that day! They could of scraped together £3 to try and eat for the first time that day! To me it’s quite fun! To others it’s an important source of food. But she makes you feel embarrassed. As if she’s doing something beyond her duties to fulfil and quite frankly has made me realise I won’t be returning and will advise others to avoid. Because her attitude can ruin your day. It was 23/01 approx 1630-1700. There was a younger lady with blonde hair. That when the older lady was snappy the blonde lady was polite and fully explained what the old lady meant. So she should be recognised for being polite. However older lady (I do not know your name) what is...
Read moreThere’s no problem with the bakery. Well known brand with a good quality of food and drinks. We ordered today (2/2/2024 early afternoon) 4 hot chocolates and some cakes. All of these were delicious, especially the hot chocolate! One of the staff member’s friends or family arrived. Put loads of new clothes next to our table. Fair enough, they showed what they bought! They had an about 10 year old girl who was all around the coffee shop and caught on everything. She didn’t put her hand in front of her face when caught, no. She found it funny, she had a good laugh of everyone.Food, people, tables… Come on!
Be professional, leave your family out of your workplace or teach them to behave. Of course, once family has gone, she went back to the till, without washing her hands… again: come on!!!
Could be a perfect place for a little sitting down, enjoying the coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate… or just people watching.
Yea, it was a...
Read moreI bought food at the shop counter and sat down at a table in the cafe section. After a couple of minutes munching an indifferent and relatively expensive sandwich, I and another gentleman were approached by a female member of staff, who said that food bought at the shop counter could not be consumed in the cafe and asked us to leave on the basis that we had not paid VAT. She thought we were trying to evade VAT and treated us accordingly. There is no sign to that effect behind the shop counter and it did not occur to me that I was doing anything wrong. She addressed both of us loudly in front of other customers. This I found extremely embarrassing. I will not visit this or any other branch of Sayers again. To anyone reading this, I recommend you...
