Gateacre Fishbar did get in touch about the issues I raised and sorted this out for me. I was really impressed with their customer service. Everyone makes a mistake in their job, it happens, it's how you respond that counts and I'm really impressed with how Gateacre Fishbar dealt with this. I will order again soon now I know how much they care about their product & service.

They forgot my salt & pepper chips. I called and was told that when the driver returns they'll send him back out with the s&p chips... they never turned up, so I had half a tea.

The normal portion of chips we did get were in a soggy bag of wrapping, most greasy chips I've ever seen, wife didn't like the fish. Disappointed as I'd seen good things about Gateacre Fishbar. But doubt I'll order...

Besides getting the order wrong when we ordered large meals and got home to find they had given us small but charged us for large. The fried rice was mushy and not very appetising, chips were fresh but undercooked and to top it off they were absolutely drowned in sauce it was all over the bag the rapper and when we actually opened the meals had to pour alot of it away to actually get to the food underneath. Both got thrown away. My little girl did enjoy the nuggets though so not all bad but I think I'll give it a miss and stick to our usually chippy. Ordered a salt and pepper box, fried rice and a pot of sauce that didn’t end up getting delivered along with wrong drink that the driver almost forgot. The salt and pepper box was one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. I’ve seen lots of people raving about these so thought to try one and what a mistake that was. All the meat in it was way over cooked so it ended up being rock hard and dry, the chips and spring rolls were so soggy too. I got extra Donna meat with this for 1.50 and the was about 4 strips of the driest Donna meat I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I ordered from this chippy on a off night for them but no food should be this bad. The rice was the only edible part of this order. Sadly I won’t be ordering...
