It is of utmost importance to me to say that I’ve never been inside of the houses of Parliament, which is why I cannot criticise or praise anything about it though it was very important to me to make this review as a warning for the sake of the way to get there if you drive there with a London cap and go in inside right away I could very well imagine it being mesmerising the beautiful and a lovely thing to do though if you go there by foot or in any vehicle that does not cut you out from the outside world and you are not necessarily in love with big crowds squeezing the life out of you it is going to end up being a nightmare. I did so walking there from Chelsea and truly from the visit in London which was in general the most marvellous thing I have ever done in my life. It was definitely the worst day and the only thing I would not do again as I said not because of the house of Parliament itself. It’s quite beautiful from the outside and I wouldn’t wonder if it were to be quite lovely in the inside as well my only point which I want to emphasise is really how horrible of a nightmare the way there and the place in front of it is I have never been squeezed together by a crowd that big and indeed annoying so if you do want to visit the house of Parliament which are generally can understand quite well you should certainly do so at either a time when no one else will do so or you should just drive with your cap or car right to the entrance and therefore get around the crowds if you do not wish to drive by cap or car in general I would recommend for you to just not go there really because it’s lovely to look at it is really quite overrated not because it’s not pretty but because there are many places in London which are as pretty and not half as overrun, especially in Chelsea there are really quite so many places that are not crowded at all and make you feel...
Read moreI have lived in west London for over fifty years and visited the parliament many times. It is so spectacular, even now it takes my breath away. Even on a cold day there are many visitors and has an amazing buzz. Videoing the surroundings and the Big Ben striking the famous chimes at midday is so special. A walk over the bridge to the south side is a must. Looking backwards the views of the parliament across the river and photo opportunities are a must.
Word of caution, there are card sharks four/five meters. They have accomplices who move between the card sharks to avoid detection. The betting is heavy, over one pounds hundred plus. The accomplice bets £100 and is immediately rewarded with a win of £100. Joe Public go crazy and bet heavily, they all lose. Some people tried to bet £20, their bets are refused and told to bet up wards of a hundred.
The are ice cream, food and snacks vendors if you want to purchase from them asked the price before you touch or taste any thing..
On the south bank there are the acctrations, the London eye, the Aquarium, the dungeon and restaurants with views of the parliament and Big Ben. It’s a very...
Read moreDuring our Year 6 school trip to the Houses of Parliament in the 2000s, we were all buzzing with excitement! Stepping into such an iconic building felt like stepping into history. The grandeur of the architecture was impressive, with tall ceilings and beautiful decorations everywhere. Our guide was brilliant, making everything fun and easy to understand.
We learned about how laws are made and even got to see the famous debating chambers. It was fascinating to see where all the important decisions happen! The highlight for many of us was sitting in the House of Commons, imagining what it would be like to be a Member of Parliament.
After the tour, we explored the surrounding area and took lots of photos. It was a fantastic day filled with learning and laughter, and it sparked our interest in politics and history. Overall, our visit to the Houses of Parliament was an unforgettable experience that brought our...
