I have just returned from an amazing time at Hum Yoga's retreat at Villa Euchelia resort, Italy with my 17 year old daughter. I needed to spend some quality time away to rest and recouperate, as well as give my daughter the opportunity to try something different and even go out of her comfort zone. This retreat did not fail to deliver - it was a brilliant experience. We would definitely recommend it. If you have time to read more...
The location was stunning â the villa is surrounded by a unique landscape. Castrocielo has a castle on top of one of the mountains that overlooks the resort! Oriana's local knowledge, attention to detail and relationship with the neighbours and staff made our stay memorable â we had welcome drinks (homemade limoncello from lemons grown in their garden), the next day, the chance to walk into the village to see an historical site. There was free time to explore the locality on our own.
Oriana, Aurora and Aliyah make an amazing team. They offer their unique, specialised expertise to create a balanced, restorative and energising programme of activities - for beginners to advanced - there was something for everyone. Every class contained modifications. We could take part in as much or as little as we wanted. Each class scored a 10 - from dynamic vinyasa and guided meditation (Oriana); yin yoga/meditation (Aurora) to breathwork and journalling (Aliyah) â there were also other treatments offered at an extra cost such as reflexology, massage and reiki. I'd hurt my back a few days before coming here - the massage I received really helped. Every class took place at a different location around the resort - this was great. We especially liked being next to the pool and the monastery.
Staff at the resort were also very friendly, helpful and welcoming â the food was exceptional. They gave us lots of choice at breakfast and we never felt rushed. The evening meals contained lots of little dishes, we never felt uncomfortably full. The rooms were comfortable, quite large and clean. The welcome gift we received was a lovely personal touch and appreciated after travelling all day.
A personal highlight were the breathwork sessions â these were incredible! It's hard to explain into words. Time passed quickly, we would have loved an extra day. There were lots of amazing people...conversations went beyond small talk. Equally, we felt relaxed and could do our own thing, there wasn't any pressure to do everything. Our last night was a treat â home made pizza and live music in a traditional local style. We would highly recommend...
Read moreI felt extremely disappointed and angry at the whole experience.
Class experience? Horrible. For a place that charges ÂŁ25 for a lesson, people come with expectations. The instructor was perfectly nice, but they shoved 16 people into a space that is the size of a small living room, it was packed like sardines with people in it during the classes. They have the wrong matts for pilates. I was hit 2 times and almost hit 4 times for the two classes i went there, it was nerve-racking. I couldn't stretch properly and I spent most of the class worrying about being hit by people from different directions.
Membership and cancellation policy? Ridiculous. I joined a taster membership of a monthly unlimited classes and I found my card charged for extra ÂŁ20 without my consent couple of days later. I am less than a week within this monthly membership, so it turns out I misread a timetable so I actually turned up at 7.30pm when it was a 7.30am class. I would have accepted that if my membership was suspended for a week or something, but charging my card without my consent for extra ÂŁ20 just because i am a new client and not familiar with what is happening? This is probably the worst experience i ever had with a professional studio.
More, I didn't sign up to their webpage or newsletters or anything, and didn't click on anything for agreeing to use my contact information however they like. I paid the fee via the 3rd party fee collection webpage they use, where the class booking system also sits in. I tried cancelling the automatic renew but the app page won't let me do so, kept saying I should contact the host. I am not sure if it was made to be this difficult to cancel auto-renewal so they can charge people when they make a mistake. You snooze you lose is their business motto I guess.
After my first class, immediately, I got creepy text messages from strangers asking "how was yesterday's experience in the studio". I was so creeped out and passed on the information to the instructor explaining i only signed up this afternoon i didn't even know about your studio yesterday, it turned out to be a marketing message from the studio owner. I would never agree to allowing marketing text messages so this just felt so wrong.
I tried to communicate the above with the studio but they believe nothing was wrong and they refuse to refund me any of the money. I would have given this 0 star or even minus...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of attending the Italian Wellness Retreat in July 2025, and all I can say isâwow. I'm still riding the wave of that incredible experience. Oriana, the owner and founder of Hum, has truly created something special. I only joined the studio in April of this year, but I immediately connected with the space, the classes, and the teachers. Every detail is clearly handpicked and thoughtfully craftedâyou can feel the passion and dedication Oriana pours into everything she does.
The retreat was genuinely life-changing and came at exactly the right time for me. Iâd been feeling lost and disconnected for a while, slowly working to rediscover my sparkâand this retreat helped me do just that. I came away feeling grounded, joyful, and more at peace with myself. I find myself smiling more, something that stuck with me from the yoga practice: âgive yourself a smile.â And now, I doâoften and sincerely.
The group of women I shared this experience with were some of the kindest and most generous people Iâve ever met. There were nine of us, and it never once felt overwhelming. There was a deep mutual respect and mindfulness that made the space feel safe and nurturing. The schedule was gentle and flexibleânothing felt forced or rigid. There was ample time for rest, and no pressure to attend every session. It was all beautifully balanced and intuitively led.
The retreat is held annually and is open to non-members tooâin Orianaâs words, âEveryone is welcome.â I already know Iâll be returning next year, and this time, Iâm bringing my mother along. I hope to carry the practices and the memories with me for a long time to come.
Wishing Oriana continued success in all her ventures, whether that means expanding Hum or exploring something entirely new. When someone pours so much heart and purity into their work, it showsâand it uplifts everyone around them. In the end, itâs always the clean hearts that shine...
