Sensory and subtitled review. to the man who was wearing sunglasses đśď¸ who kept staring at my autistic daughter.
Iâm going to start with the positives and then end with the negatives.
Positives I booked today for my daughter first time going to the cinema to see inside out 2. She was so excited and really enjoyed the popcorn. She really enjoyed the movie but unfortunately didnât see it all the way through. The sofas was definitely the best choice for us they was comfortable and she was very happy to lay while watching the movie. The movie was very good audio was much lower which was perfect the lights were kept on.
Negatives Unfortunately there are a few more negatives than positives. Started off with the ads being far too loud! It really made my daughter feel scared with loud noises. With the sensory overload was not the best way to start off the movie. I was told with sensory viewing there would be no adds so to see advertisements and them being so loud it was very difficult for my daughter to relax. From the ads being so loud than to the movie being quieter it was a very bad sensory issue for my daughter.
There was one man who was wearing sunglasses đśď¸ He was so angry with my daughter stimming and vocal stimming he kept staring at me and my daughter his children didnât seem to mind but he was trying to make himself aware that he was visibly annoyed with her. I stood my ground and told him that my daughter is autistic and she will make noise as this is a sensory viewing experience. The other people were much more understanding and he made himself look like a đđ.
FYI: for people who will book sensory and subtitles experience donât expect it to be silent there will be people like my daughter who vocal stims and make noises or move around so if that isnât something you want then book a different experience.
We didnât stay for the whole movie due to the ads being so long my daughter just had enough to the point she got pretty upset.
The round up. I think if youâre looking to go here for the sensory viewing I would go in after 20 minutes of the time the movie supposed to start due to the long loud ads. I would like to come here again with my daughter at some point I wonât allowing ignorant people try and make myself and my daughter feel uncomfortable. Everyone deserves to experience things and enjoy them even if they are different to yours.
Update: thank you Sutton omniplex for reaching out to me and taking my review seriously and Iâm so happy to hear there have already been changes made to the volume. I am looking forward to booking my daughter and myself another visit some time in the future. Also my complaint about the man has also been taken seriously by Omniplex which is really great to know...

The previous Empire Cinema, in fairness, did a nice job at upgrading the cinema in recent years so Omniplex haven't had to much at all it seems - only real changes, on the surface, seem to be visual; their branding etc.
However, there is one new addition that is fantastic. Omniplex, unlike Empire and even VUE, have a subscription pass available, with which you can watch every movie shown once for just the monthly fee; you even get 'free' upgrades for the more premium seating.
I got it back at Xmas time and it was only ÂŁ9.99 p/m for 3 months, so it'll be ÂŁ11.99 from April. I'm fortunate enough to be able to go regularly so at that price it's fantastic value. As long as they stay sensible in the long run (Empire went crazy with their standalone prices in the end), I can't foresee a time where I'm not subscribed to be honest. Very impressed.
The facilities are seemingly the same as with Empire. They have lift access for those in need, I went with someone that needed it and the lift was actually down that day. Of course not good, however a staff member was apologetic and extremely helpful in helping us enter the cinema from a different route. Speaking of the staff, for every visit I've had since the Omniplex takeover they have been very pleasant each time.
Omniplex have also continued the free 3 hours parking validation with the next door parking complex, which is highly appreciated - I probably wouldn't visit that much at all if that wasn't a feature, so here's hoping it stays forever.
I will say, though, that they could do with solving their seating issues. I book online and there are plenty of times that certain seats aren't available to book (Empire were the same). I always assumed they were broken seats, though it could perhaps be them holding some back for in venue booking? Or am I totally wrong?
Also, with the online booking, it would be a nice detail if they showed seat numbers on the screen graphic - as of now, you can't see where your seat # is, it only shows the row. These last two issues aren't major, though. Edit: just noticed a 'zoom' button to see seat numbers... was that always there? If so, d'oh me!
I have fun visiting. Long live...

I viewed this movie today at EMPIRE CINEMA (SUTTON). Empire cinema is my choice of movie venue as this cinema is with luxury options. Today I booked a recliner armchair. My gratitude for Empire cinema's choice of chair cover, that is waterproof which helped my mental stability with hygiene as I sprayed and wet-wiped my seat.
I remembered the theme of Indiana Jones movies which I think is about an archaeologist professor/ teacher (Indiana Jones) with intellectual knowledge of archaeology with a mission to keep artefacts away from criminals and misuse so that items are documented and kept for reference as verification of historical occurrences in museums and libraries.
Though my focus was slightly distracted by stage whispering, This movie was enjoyable to watch. This movie has plenty of fight, chase action and interesting props. I found the first half of this movie thrilling and fast. It felt like the action slowed, however, I regained focus with fun scenes similar to earlier releases of Indiana Jones movies. The movie became equally entertaining towards the end. I enjoyed the pace of the near pension aged actors (especially Harrison Ford) who sprinted and defended attacks upon him in several scenes. I enjoyed the original cast's appearance. I would have hoped for more footage of them.
On today's viewing, I felt as though the RGB screen settings were incorrect at Empire cinema (Sutton), as the picture seemed misty and blurry like an old film. The sound was okay, but seemed better quality in some scenes than others. I recall Empire cinema Leicester Square having better quality sound and lighting, as they used to have a jingle with thunder & lightning lights and sound effects. However I selected this screen having viewed options to have sound in the chair. I guess this would be equivalent to what I had at Empire cinema Leicester Square? I would hope for Empire cinemas to return the thunder, lightning display with sound effects, as it is effective which helped me choose the movie venue Empire cinemas (every time)
I hope that this is read by the technicians at...
