It was a nice enough structure which more then I can say about the people here. Perhaps being of an Asian heritage my face didn't fit here or that my wife is English. We had people staring and some even made sly remarks. I can't say they were racist as I didn't know these people and worse still they didn't know us. Stores ok went into Waittose get a French stick, cheese some fresh tomatoes. Stores made me feel uncomfortable. The cashier couldn't even say please or thank you.......just plain rude. Suffice to say we won't be shopping at any Waitrose stores again. On account of rude people and unnecessarily high prices. Thr French stick was OK but nothing to write home about as for the cheese and tomatoes both tasteless and seemed out of date. The tomatoes were over ripe, way too soft. Excuse my language but this was a s**t experience. ...

There are more shops than it first appears. Walk up to the bronze horse and you'll see an alley straight on to the nail bar and bike shop. To the left of the horse is an alley that goes down to the market place where there's a great little fair trade shop and a pub.

Waterstones does the best coffee. Go down to the high street for a better choice of food.

You get free parking for 2 hours around Waitrose but not in the council car park.
