Framptons New Forest — Restaurant in New Forest

If you're looking for a venue for a function then Framptons is the place. We wanted to book their upstairs room for my girlfriend's 25th birthday dinner party, which Amanda helped us organise - she sat down with us in the bar and planned everything out to our liking. We were given freedom to decorate, put on our own music, set up karaoke, the works. They also provided us a set dinner menu to our liking and covered vegetarian options for those in our party needing it. Amanda was a star when it came to communication, organisation, and just overall a massive help.

The price of throwing the function was very reasonable which included 14 two course meals, 6 bottles of prosecco for the table, a private bar, private use of the whole upstairs room, and unbeatable service from all the staff - running up the food and serving us drinks all night (shout out to Lee, we'll pay for his therapy after having to listen our karaoke all night 😂)

Being allowed to get down early in the day and decorate was also a bit help and they had the tables, chairs, cutlery, etc all ready for us which made everything a breeze when we started to add our decorations. Again, the team could not have been more helpful.

The night was perfect and we had a lot of fun, we all loved the food for not just the flavour (which was incredible) but the portion sizes too, absolutely spot on. Lee was great on the bar and went above and beyond to run drinks up and down the stairs.

An American (and burger critic) adrift in Bath at the Weir, . . I ducked into Frampton's to have a bite to eat and escape an incoming rain. Noting the American burger on the menu, and often critical of places at home who shamelessly foist off abysmal burgers on the unsuspecting, I couldn't resist ordering Frampton's to sample their interpretation.

To cut right to the chase, . . quite to my surprise it was superb! Not that I feared an indigestible disaster, but I certainly didn't expect in a tourist-oriented town for it to rival the better ones I've had in the USA, which it did.

I had mine with cheddar and bacon, but without the onions, but otherwise just as listed on the menu. I was not particularly in a great hurry and in due time it arrived and cooked to perfection, neither too rare nor too done, with a fresh warmed bun. Yes there was a slight taste difference between this beef and its American counterpart but that would be down to a difference in feeding the critters and in no way made it less tasty.

If I had any criticism, the "fries" were probably out of a frozen provisioner's bag (McDonalds-like), and didn't measure up to the burger. IMHO the platter could be greatly improved and made "the best" with fresh cut, skins-on fries.

Americans (or anyone) adrift in Bath who fancy a great American style burger, have no fear, I don't think you will do better...

The staff at Framptons New Forest are always friendly and attentive. They will make you feel welcome and take care of your every need. My dog Mabel was also welcomed and had some dog treats.

The food at Framptons is delicious and varied. You can choose from a range of dishes, from salads and sandwiches to burgers and steaks. But the star of the show is their pizza, which is made in their own pizza oven. Their pizza is so good! You can't beat a Framptons pizza.

You can enjoy a selection of beers, wines, and spirits, or try one of their cocktails. Their cocktails are made with fresh ingredients and expert skill. They are so good, you will want to drink them all!

Framptons also has a great meeting space upstairs, where you can host your events and parties. I've used this for a number of business meetings. You can also order food and drinks from the downstairs menu. The space is perfect for any occasion.

Framptons is a place for everyone. It caters for all ages and tastes, and has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You will always have a good time at Framptons.
