Krispies Fish & Chips — Local services in North Tyneside

Popped in to Krispies today for a bit of lunch. Paid £5.50 for a sausage special, this gets you a chip butty, large sausage, chips and a splash of sauce.

Chips were perfectly cooked, golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.

The battered sausage was amazing. Very good quality sausage, and the batter was light and crunchy and golden brown absolutely cooked perfectly.

The bread bun was a decent size and buttered, soft and fresh. The only thing that let this meal down was the curry sauce. Don't get me wrong, it was divine, but just not quite enough.

Pickled egg cost me a £1 and was banging. Best pickled egg I've had for a while.

Lovely and clean, staff are happy and friendly, will be back again soon.

Cash only!!! At the time of review. Granted I was livid for having to walk to the locals Sainsbury's to get money and back in the rain. The fish and chips here are great quality and flavour. The portion sizes are massive. Looking back I would probably get a single portion and a battered sausage and it would have been ample for 2 people.

Costs wise, it's a bit of a hit in comparison to other local eateries. For me it will be a place to go for a treat night as opposed to a more regular visit.

Still great food, give them a shot and support...

Came last night about 8:30pm with my son . Great service , lovely staff , couldn't fault the food . Cod bites and chips , scampi and chips , cod and chips , chicken burger . Garlic sauce All fantastic !! Only negative was when we got home we realised my daughter's chicken nuggets and chips wasn't in the bag. Hopefully when we come in next week and tell them it will be resolved . Will definitely be back for more...
