I came here to do my roots for the first time. And bear in mind Iāve been getting my hair done since the age of 17 so I know what to ask for when getting my hair done. I was quite scared actually even before doing it because the lady that was going to do my hair her own hair looked absolutely awful. Her hair Looked like an orange blob of paint was on the top of her head when I asked did she do her own hair she said yeah she had like 2/3 different colours in her hair. Surely if your getting it done from a professional hairdresser there own hair would look nice too. So anyway I came in and I said I would like to do my āROOTS ONLYā Iāve previously had a balayage done from my regular professional hairdresser and Iām happy with her but because sheās having a baby and sheās off for some time I really need to do my roots I asked her not to touch the rest of my hair. The hairdresser said she will match the roots to the rest of my hair and she will do a great job. I said are you sure because if you canāt do it Iād rather you be honest and donāt touch it at all because I donāt want to ruin my hair. She said she can 100% achieve the colour to the rest of my hair so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. So she started doing my roots I canāt explain how long she was taking to do roots spent a couple of hours. She started at the bottom of the hair and spent 2 hours at the bottom before working her way to the front. And by the time she had got to the front of the hair it was at-least 4 hours. Which was concerning leaving bleach on for that amount of time. You have to apply it everywhere in the same length of time so when you wash it or apply the toner the colour is all evened out. So I waited patiently and then when he got time for the toner and the colour the lady said what toner did you want me to apply and what colour would you like? When she asked that I was annoyed sheās asking me what toner and colour I would like when sheās supposed to be the hairdresser how would I know what toner I would need and the colour she should have matched the roots to the colour I had already. When she applied the toner my hair went orange and it went darker and darker the hairdresser herself was shocked at how the colour came out and she was looking worried. At that point I wanted to cry I was so upset that my hair had got ruined. I said to her look you donāt know what your doing and leave the toner in il wash it myself when I get home. When I went home I washed it after another 40 mins as advised by the the so called hairdresser and it turned out absolutely shocking. Luckily I messaged my own hairdresser and I said look I know your having a baby but my hair needs a quick fix asap please as Iām about to cry when she saw my hair she came the very next day and fixed my hair colour back to normal again. If it wasnāt for her I would have not left the house with that orange burnt hair. My hairdresser said this was the worst hair colour she had ever seen and to let the owner know this she said the hair also should have been back combed when applying the colour because of this there was a line all around my head so you could see were the colour started and ended from. The owner of Femina said the hairdresser shouldnāt have asked me what toner and colour I would like and also should have matched the exact colour she should have known but because I wasnāt happy she was willing to compensate me Ā£30 to use in her salon again. I had paid Ā£120 and the owner said she should have charged me Ā£135 for this mess they created. Realistically she should have refunded me the whole amount back. Girls if your getting a balayage or root touch up for blonde or balayage hair donāt come here otherwise you will get your hair done in a disaster just like mine this review was delayed but I do have to warn others before getting there hair done. They need to pay a professional hairdresser and hire them because the current one is letting them down. Please see my photos of my hair before and after and judge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a regular customer and never really had a problem untill recently. The staff do not understand English and definitely do not listen to what you want as a customer. Last month I went and got my eye brows done. I asked for 'no cutting' on my eye brows. Whilst the lady was doing my eye brows she cut both my eye brows from the top thinking I would not notice. I did notice. I let that go even though I do not like m eye brows cut. I went again recently and got another lady to do my brows. I asked for medium to thick eye brows. The lady finished 1 of my eye brows and showed me the results. I was happy. She moved onto my next brow and then went back onto the first muttering loud enough for me to hear that my eye brows are two differant and one is more thinnner than the other. When she finished she showed me the mirror. Instinctively I said I do not like thin eye brows but it doesnt matter as there was nothing that could be done now. She called over her colleague and started saying to her that it's my eye brows that were not right in the first place. I said look I am not making a big deal. Sorry but if that was the case she should have informed me when she asked me what I wanted to get done to my eye brows. I am really disappointed and will not be going here again. Please employ staff who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately this experience didn't live up to my expectations:( I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st visit and experience when I went with my friend but unfortunately this time was so different:( I was kept waiting longer than my appointment time, then my feet were left in the water for about 25min rather than the stated 10/12 then the therapist was distracted using her phone numerous times and checking her watch, stating it was 'her kids' when I asked how long the treatment normally takes, she said about an hour, maybe 45min depending on condition of feet. I got there at 2.25pm and didn't leave till 3.50..so with the added 20min and extra 15min in the water I was 30min there too long:( its a shame...
On top of this review I can confirm that a very nice young lady phoned to get a better understanding of my experience and to explain what potentially could have happened(ie 1 staff member short) and to apologise and asked me to revisit. I said I would as everyone deserves a second chance. So,thank you for the phone call and explanation and I hope to...
