READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP. The craziest thing happened to me today at this gym. I wanted a new membership so I started filling out the paperwork and I noticed a brochure that says if a friend refers you they get a month free. So I went up to a lady introduced myself and told her about it. I figured someone should benefit from me signing up and I made a friend while doing so. She tells me how much she appreciates it because this is her month that things are tight. Meaning she's skint. So she fills out the brochure and I take it to the counter. The guy Craig asks me if I know her. I said does it matter. Even though I knew we just became friends he left me there and tells his boss. What? He tells on me. He comes back and says you have to know each other. Wait! It says refer a friend. We just became friends. So the membership coordinator comes to me and wants to interrogate us about our friendship. I told her we just became friends and asked if I knew her phone number. I said yeah it's on the brochure for refer a friend. She says "she can't do that" meaning she can't give me her phone number at the gym. I GO, WHAT make a friend in your gym. So my friend Gill retracts the refer a friend idea in fear of being interrogated or even embarrassed. At this point I don't blame her. I could not believe what just happened. I asked both Craig and the membership coordinator if they owed the business or if they get the money that Gill could have gotten? They said no. So why do you care so much? I'm perplexed at the situation. I refuse to believe that this company is community aligned. Seems a bit ££££ strange. I tried to make a friend in the gym thru a offer given to me by the gym and it back fired over £38. I refused to sign up and left. If I wasn't so frustrated and walked out I would have paid for Gill's month myself. Sorry about that Gill maybe I'll see you at another gym and hopefully they don't have a refer only your best of friends brochure. Even though we might have a...
Read moreWe did enjoy our visit here but thought there would be more slides. There was two one blue one that you slide down on a donut which was fun, and one white one that you lie back for as it is fast. There is 4 pools, one outside that wasn't in use due to matience, one little one with a little bridge and water jets for little people (Children), one wave one, one for lessons that wasn't very deep, there was one that goes in a circle called the lazy river that just takes you around, a jet jacuzzi, a steam room, sauna, a cafe, viewing area, gym. It did have lockers that require a token or £1 coin to use (some of which didn't work) it does have individual or family changing cubicles (a lot of doors don't close or lock), for those with long hair there are hair dryers (some don't work). It's not the cleanest of places, it does need a lot of matience and up grades, it could be a great place but at the moment it was OK. There is free parking but only for 3 hours. When I called the reception to find out information no one answered (not good customer service). The price I paid was £12.50 for 1 adult & 1 child, and £24.00 for 1 adult and 4 kids. It can vary, during summer it closes at 6pm but you don't know that as website says different, when you phone - no answer so you only know when you get there. It was OK for a fun pool, not for swimming, if you want a change then try it, I personally was...
