he place looks stunning the decor is lovely and inviting, however that's where the positives end. The girl that was serving us was a bit glum looking. When she came with our drinks she placed a hot coffee in arms reach of my 8 month old and I had to quickly move it before he reached for it. I would think it would be common sense to not put a hot drink infront of an infant. When she came back with our food she advised she would be right back with our cutlery then proceeded to never return to our table. Luckily there was cutlery at the empty table next to us. The food was nothing spectacular. It was very average and the mac and cheese was very bland. I would say it was very overpriced for what it was. When we finished our meal we waited for a server to clear our plates but like I said above .. she never returned to our table. I was going to order a milkshake but after waiting a while I gave up. I had to go upto the front desk to pay which no one explained if that was normal or we were just indeed being ignored. But I paid £30 for a coffee, mac and cheese and a chicken sandwich dish ... overall not value for money in my opinion. Overall I was left feeling a bit "meh" with the place. Such a shame since it looks so inviting and was...
Read moreEdit: my second visit was lacking. We requested chorizo eggs with a couple of swaps (bacon and sourdough in for chorizo and muffin) and, although the server said the order was confused, the presentation was sloppy (compared to previous), the avocado and feta were forgotten, and the bacon could have been brought back to life by a good vet. Would reconsider coming back - was pretty disappointing.

Greenock definitely needs a place like this - it’s beautifully decorated, clean and tidy. The menu options are good - they were happy to substitute sourdough in for muffins in my dish.
The eggs were perfectly cooked, the portion sizes are good, and everyone at our table enjoyed what they had. The coffee is wonderful and there’s a good range of cakes.
The service was decent - pretty attentive, friendly and the food arrived quite quickly.
Would love to...
Read moreUpdate: Disappointing experience this afternoon 13th July 2023 after 3:00pm.. After I was seated by a staff member I was ignored while others who came in after me had orders taken and food served. I eventually got up and slowly left, still unattended. I've been a pretty frequent customer of Monza since it opened. There was no excuse for today - the place was almost empty. I am too old and crabbit to risk this again, so goodbye Monza. Get back Signor Silvio who was always very prompt, and polite.
OLD REVIEW: This is the premises that were formerly Cafe 118 ( and a long time ago, PDC Copy print, where I worked). The interior had been completely remodeled and the venue is evidently proving popular - it's always fairly busy when I visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has recently been renewed and enlarged, and the menu now offers an...
