The Robin Hood is a nice local pub which has a cozy interior, polite and friendly staff, a pretty good sized beer garden with a covered deck area and plenty of picnic table seating, plus reasonable bar prices, especially when compared to prices at a couple of other pubs in the area. Having been refurbished fairly recently the dรฉcor looks fresh and quite up-to-date for a local pub. There is now a section of raised flooring to the rear of the main bar area which gets used as a stage/performance area when they have live bands or comedy acts playing. They also place the karaoke machine and associated equipment on it for karaoke night and the quizmaster's table on it for quiz night. The area beside the "stage" is usually home to a much loved pool table, however, on the busier nights when the stage is being used the pool table gets moved to make way for dancing or spectators. The toilets/restroom facilities are also at the rear, behind the stage and pool table, they are quite small but I have to say they were very clean on the occasions that I used them which is a big plus for me. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was the attitude coming from a few of the regular clientele. There were a handful of people who were rude and standoffish, giving the impression that we weren't welcome in "their pub." On the other end of the scale there were a couple of people who were very overbearing and basically forced themselves into our conversation in a loud and brash manner. Despite these little niggles I have generally enjoyed my visits to the Robin Hood and will definitely go back...

ย ย ย Read moreWhat a funny little pub to stumble across. On street parking, we were looking somewhere for lunch and arrived here. Kind of wheelchair friendly, I can safely say that owners need to upgrade facilities if they want to welcome more disabled/wheelchair users but judging by where we were I can see that maybe they do not come by all that often. There are NO disabled toilets here, which I thought was a bit shocking! This meant I had to manually pick up an immobile person to use the bathroom in very small, very slippery bathrooms. Owners, please hear us plea! You must have accessible loo! A member of staff told us that they have requested this several times to no avail, need to do better on that.
Pretty standard pub food, to be honest, very cheap! Weren't we surprised! 2 generously portioned plates arrived at the table. Mine came a little later as the waiter had accidentally dropped it, I was informed right away, and I was fine with it as I was assisting with the wheelchair.
Looks like a very well loved local pub by its users and a friendly place to be. If the disabled facilities were improved, we will definitely be back!
Thank you to the young man who served us from...
