Disappointing Experience for My Son’s 4th Birthday

I had my son’s 4th birthday party at Jungle Jeans Southampton in January 2025, and unfortunately, it was a really disappointing experience. The place was dusty, quite cold, and the toilets were not clean. It felt like the staff had never hosted a party before—they were completely untrained and disorganized.

One of the biggest issues was how they handled the cake. They placed it right in the middle of the table while the kids were still eating their meals, which of course made them lose interest in their food and start asking for cake instead. I had a large cake and initially said I would cut it myself, but then they decided it was “too big” for the small knife and took it into the kitchen to cut it themselves without much explanation.

Another frustration was that they don’t provide takeaway boxes for the leftover cake, even though there was barely any time to eat it. This felt like such a basic thing that should have been considered, especially for a children’s party.

Overall, the lack of cleanliness, the cold environment, and the disorganized staff made this a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend Jungle Jeans for a birthday party unless they improve their service...

A great location with plenty of clean play things for the kids. The overhead PA plays plenty of Dirty Dubstep which I think is great. The toilets were clean and well maintained and fully stocked with toilet roll due to an Andrex dog on the site which always replaces a roll once it's used, he actually brought one in to me which was sweet but then he demanded a tip, luckily I speak dog so explained that I was all out of dog treats. You do need to watch out for the Monkey Bizness mascot "Marvin" as he recently lost a game of poker with the Jungle Jeans mascot and is annoyed that he didn't get the Pat Sharp DVD they were playing for. On a recent visit I witnessed Marvin dropping a banana peel on the floor then comically slipping on it, he then shouted loudly that he would sue due to the lack of a "Caution banana peels on floor" sign. I was expecting a nice warm and clean place, but unfortunately there was really cold. Maybe because it was in the morning, but still. I was freezing . I took my baby there just to experience a some social life, but i was met with a place which they are taking the baby’s shoes there and let the parents go in with the shoes. After that the baby area was dirty non of toys was working and as i said cold. Then we have decided to eat, I had to clean my own table as it was dirty the floor which is next to the baby area was full of food. The toilets and changing was really dirty and freezing cold. You guys having babies and childs overthere, you should be way more responsible. After the visit my baby get stomach worms and she was nowhere else, so as it was really dirty i assume all its coming from the dirty toys which i bet are not getting any sterility. And on the top of all I would say the baby area wasn’t nothing special as toys etc, We have more stuff home. So...
