Mike's Rifts — Local services in St Helens

Not sure what happend maybe caught him on an off day, called up asked which Peacocks he had in, didnt seem very helpful at all, then when I asked for some photos of fish he had in tanks before I travelled down, he basically said he couldn't be bothered doesn't have time for that and was pretty short tbh, I don't normally leave negative reviews being a business owner myself but I was extreamly disappointed with his attitude as I prob would have spent a fair amount considering I was going to stock a new 350l tank and he was recomended highly. This won't put people off and its not meant too, he has so many good reviews am prob more disappointed so I hope he reads this and it makes him realise customer service is key or maybe he is just so busy he doesn't need...

We visited Mikes rifts today to collect new group of tropheus to add to our collection we have been keeping tropheus for several years now, I really enjoyed our visit and Mike is a guy who has a vast knowledge of all aquatics I learnt a good few things whilst listening to him. Mikes rifts is really like being a kid in a sweet shop....i wish i had more tanks to fill!! the species he has is unreal some of them i have never seen before and he knew everything about them,he also cares a great deal about his fish and will offer you guidance before purchasing also which tank mates are best to go with each one..I will most definatly be returning in the near future and will recommend to everyone to go here if you are looking to source excellent quality...

Visited Mike today and purchased some wonderful fish (Xenotilapia Papillio Sunflower and Synodontis Dwarf Petricola). Previous purchases of Julidochromis Marlieri settled and began to pair within hours which goes to show how healthy Mike’s fish are. Such a great experience and well worth the drive up to view his incredibly varied stock. Mike is so knowledgeable on all his fish and took the time to answer all questions in great detail. If you are looking for fish from the great African lakes I cannot recommend...
